Why looking for a mate for my buddy is not allowed Can't Post

dear webmaster.

a couple of days ago, I posted a message looking for a mate for my male boxer. You locked-out the message, and said that mate matching is closed!
Kindly explain the rationale? I'm merely looking for people/dogs with common needs. This is not a commercial proposition. I can only suspect that you action is prompted to protect commercial breeders. Kindly respond. Thank you.

There is no need to be suspicious of anything as this is our site and we made decision to the best of our interest.

There was infact a Dog Matching section which we have closed about a month ago. To know more why the section was closed, read the following URL

http://www.puppy.com.my/...F13/Breeding_P21289/

9 out 10 posters at the dog matching section know very little about the responsibility of breeder dog. Some of the main point we have discussed there are :-
  • Breeding is always done with the aim to improve breed
  • All breeding stocks must conform to breed standard, must clear all health check and with good temperament.

You may know that there are a lot of dog such GSD in Malaysia with Hip problem and these are cause by improper breeding. Please read more on the following thread to fine out more.

Dear Webmaster,

Thanks for the reply and all the links (of correspondences) which lead to the conclusion for disallowing dog matching. We've to respect that decision, given that it is after all YOUR site.

However, I think that it would have been more prudent for the site to educate "would be dog matchers" than to just remove the digital capability to bring together individual of the same interest. To assume that everyone is an irresponsible breeder, is totally incorrect. But then I can understand the simple solution by turning the switch-off, and let commercial breeders to have a field day. It is ironic, that people are so vein. Don't they realize the same anology of bad dog breeding applies to human. What've they done to stop that?
