Availability…dese places r dog friendly/tolerant most of d time. Calling in 1st helps but wun always guarantee u a place coz it really depends on d waiter who is serving n d crowd on d day. At new places, v normally scout d clientele 1st n ask on d spot whether dey allow dogs 2 lepak with us outside. At pubs with outdoor seating, frequented by predominantly expats, Chinese n Indians, den shldnt b an issue. Most waiters at d mentioned pubs r fairly easy going n accommodating.
May bcom difficult if d waiter/mgmt/customers on d day arent too appreciative of dogs, especially large dogs. Our experience (with a small dog) at dese places hv been good so far but hv 2 b mindful n considerate of d sensitivities of certain customer groups. Mgmt may hv 2 refuse entry in dese instances, hence b prepared 2 b turned away particularly at crowded joints .
Temptations…as long as he dun usually get food from d table n dun hv a Beagle’s appetite 4 food, den shld b oklah. Still hv 2 watch out 4 cats passing by tho’! __________________________________________________

Thanks for the reply. That was very helpful. I was thinking Bangsar should b alright? I brought SIkly once into Bangsar SHopping Centre when she was a pup. Everyone including the guard loved her. But that was ages ago.

Bsar Finnegans is ok but as mentioned, hv 2 b mindful of certain customer groups coz dey do frequent d Bsar area quite often. Shopping centers dun usually allow dogs so Silky must hv mesmerized d guards with her puppy looks.
Very rarely see any dogs lounging at Bsar cafes but hv seen a Lab n BC b4. V go at all hours 4 bfast, lunch, tea or dinner. But dis is with a small dog n is easier 2 go unnoticed. With a large dog, perhaps at nite during dinner time wld b less obvious. Fri n Sat r usually more crowded but d crowd only starts gathering late at nite (after 11pm), so dinner is still ok.
Sri Hartamas area is also good coz not as crowded as Bsar. __________________________________________________

Are you guys going to the K9day? We're probably taking Cleo... it's just that taking her anywhere is a real pain cause she vomits all the time... poor thing... hopefully this time she won't... Natasha Fernz

Yah c u guys at K9 day. Hv bn 2 JT off n on, not regularly tho. U stay in SJ, not too familiar with d outlets there coz dun go there too often 4 makan minum. But do c a no. of cafes at Taipan, stick 2 d 1s without Muslims. Just remember dat large dogs will face a harder time getting into dese establishments. __________________________________________________

Hello Groovemaster!
Great to see you and Groovy yesterday... We were rather hungry so we had to disappear...
You're right in that large breeds have a bigger problem in being accommodated in restaurants. I guess it's cause people think that they're more ferocious or aggresive which is entire untrue... the silky that i found is so fierce in comparison to Cleo... cleo is actually scared of her...
Anyway hope you and Groovy had a good time yesterday. Cleo most certainly did... will be posting pictures of Cleo on the website soon... Natasha Fernz

Hi, nice 2 catch u guys yesterday. Did Cleo take part in any games? Yah hd a neat time as well n Groovy managed 2 regain d fastest recall title after many failed attempts. Dats d only game he’s good at, anything 2 do with running, jumping n showing off in general . Also hd fun retrieving his frisbee n ball n enticing others 2 play fetch at d side.
A note of thanks 2 d ppcom organizers n volunteers 4 deir efforts, really appreciate it. Mayb a fresh injection of ideas wld b welcomed coz some of d contest/games dragged on a bit n dun really showcase d dogs natural abilities. Hence, d crowd tends 2 drift away from d main event field after awhile.
Yup small breeds r just as aggressive as large… mine included. Probably gv Cleo a heart attack but he’s gentler with females. Dogs generally arent allowed at eating places, but mgmt may b more tolerant of small dogs coz dey’re easier 2 go unnoticed. Think Labs n GRs shldnt hv a problem fitting in2 cafes… just hv 2 watch out 4 d tables n chairs tho’. __________________________________________________
