I guess that it is the only hotel in Langkawi which allows dogs.

YES, it is the BonTon Resort and the owner has a dog as well. Furthermore, the neighbor is the animal shelter, so you will find surely a lot of animals around there.

Haven't been going through these forums for a while... but it is PEOPLE LIKE YOU that give us dog lovers a BAD name!

I'm sure you love your furkid but have you thought about others (like what Gasp rightly said)?

Dog ownership is a somewhat sensative issue here in Malaysia as any discussions on it invariably leads to religious issues, which in turn leads to racial issues...

Things are staring to get heated up again, with all the 'haram' deepavali greetings, mandatory tudungs and what not issues, so the last thing we need is for the DOG issue to flare up again.

Just my two cents anyways...

BTW, did anyone notic that dogs are not welcome in IKANO power centre anymore Unsure

wat a sad case to hear that...then how is the pet shop organise those classes where no one is allowed to bring the dog inside?

You can only bring your dog to Ikano Pet Safari. Other places in Ikano you can't visit with your dog. There are a special lift located at the loading area will lead directly to the petshop.

If you guys do go to Ikano often like me. You will notice a no dog allowed sign at the main entrance of the Ikano building or entrance at the car park area.

hehe..im bringing my dog to a hotel by the end of this year..booked at matta fair..according to the malay manager..

My dad:boleh bawa kucing kah?

manager:boleh..kuching boleh..tapi anjing tak boleh

then my dad n the manager started to talk la..

my mum:eh saya nak bawa saya punya puppy dog boleh tak..sangat kecil punya..

manager:*looks so tired coz he's going back to johor 1 hour later*boleh la..tapi jangan bagi tahu orang lain..letak dalam small carrier..

me:then boleh bagi dia keluar di beach tak?

manager:boleh..beach boleh..tapi dlm hotel mesti letak dlm carrier dan jangan bagi orang tahu..

me:*happy la..*

my mum:sure kah?

manager:sure..boleh masuk...

btw..the manager is a malay..so kind..he also offer us to call him when we reached there n he will bring us around to the chinese food stall!hahahaha..

2nd incident..this one is with a chinese woman

woman:*promoting abt melaka n PD*

dad:hmm..is quiet cheap..but can we bring our small dog along?

woman:no!!is the hotel's policy..

dad:*look at me n asking me whether wanna go anot*

me:shaking head..

woman:*stare at me like a ate up her commision..*

haha...is not good to announce the hotel's name here..(i think is only allow for small dog)leave a mail n i will tell u the name..haha..i cant wait for the trip!!!!
