I just discovered that when my puppy was flown to Langkawi, he had to go through the x-ray scanner at the airport. This was inisted upon by security despite being shown that the crate contained a live animal. They said that the animal must be scanned.
Is it safe for the puppy to go through the scanner? What if he had to go through many scans during his lifetime?

Hi Saphian,
You mean the scanner for our belongings or for the human pass one? If it is the scanner for belongings, then you better ask your Vet about that ... I think one time should be ok, but many ... I am not sure then...

Thanks for your reply. My puppy was checked by a govt vet a before the flight as reqired by MAS, and travel cert is valid for 6 months. Anyway, I will ask the vet when I take him for his third vaccination next week.
