New GSD Furkid!! Hello everyone...	Can't Post

Hi to all! Wink

I'm new to puppy.com, and just recently bought a female GSD. Initially I felt a little let down by the fact that many Malaysians are dog un-friendly, especially because I'm a Malay girl, but since finding this forum, I feel like I've found a long lost family, where we can share our problems and triumphs. I'm sure there are other furkid lovers out there who find that Malaysians can be so narrow and prejudiced towards our companions, and how its so difficult to find people who love furkids as well...

We live in Puchong, KL and most weekend evenings we love to go for walks in Bukit Gasing PJ. Most weekday nights, Stella and me can be found at Pusat Bandar Damansara's Starbucks, just enjoying coffee and chatting with friends... It would be great to meet up and let our furkids socialize, won't it?

I'd just like to thank all the people who've posted here, and in all probability I will never know in person, but has helped me tremendously in understanding my furkid, and helping me keep my sanity too!! I'd really appreciate any thoughts, advice and comments in helping me bring up my furkid to become a well adjusted member of society. Thanks again!!

HI !

Warm welcome here to the forum ! You too go Bkt Gasing for walks huh.... u shd come n join the bunch of us every saturday morning (irregardless of rain or shine) trekking in the jungle itself !

As for dog unfriendly places, yes there is alot but what to do... some of the people see dogs like they seen a ghost instead.

Btw, do come and join us in our event on May 8th - PAWS in the Park, PAWS for a CAUSE day. We have lots of activities in the day itself to be enjoyed by both owner n dogs together. This event is posted up in the Event Calendar Forum.

Hi Gingerpie... Stella and me, we live in Puchong... to Toy, my husband and I currently have four furkids... three kitties and a dog... To Sydney, our doggie is only two months old... so the experience of owning a dog is pretty new to us... Any advice and tips are most welcome!!

Thanks for the info on the upcoming PAWS event... We were planning to bring our baby there to socialize, and hopefully we could meet up there ya??

to Minglmy and nicky_spykeaz, we have been planning to join the JT at Bukit Gasing, and in one or two weeks, we'd like to try bringing Stella out... but since she's rather young what we usually do is walk with her a bit, and end up carrying her the rest of the way!! Huhauhauhuahua... my husband and I think she's taught us well into bringing her for a "cruise".... We'd love to try though... and I think we'll probably meet you guys there...

I'd just like to say thanks again for replying... it's great knowing there are others out there who loves animals like me!

... wonderful to have u join us all here... hope u have lotsa fun meetimng many many nice ppl here & get to know many new frens too... Wink

Off & on there are small groups of ppl or rather gangs here who organises get to gether or some sort of activity... u may like to look them up & join them... i know for one if u like hiking, the is the Jungle Treckers who hikes up BKT.Gasing weekly... u can find them in the even thread...

I live in Bukit Gasing and would occasionally take my GSD and beagle out for walks in the evening. I wish I could do that more often but I often work late Unsure

. My GSD is a real "manja pot". He gets so excited when I return home and would not calm down until I cuddle him on my lap Wink

. But..it such a lovely feeling when someone greets you like that!

Oh ya! Be careful when you take your dog out for walks in Bkt Gasing. There is a pack of stray dogs there and they are very territorial. Also, some irresponsible owners let their dogs out to roam freely in the evenings. My little beagle was attack by a free roaming Spitz once. Was very upset with the owner.

My hubby and I would also take our dogs to Ikano for the obediance classes on Sat & Sun afternoon. Its a good way for the dogs to socialise.

Hmm...Starbucks at PBD? My office in Menara Milenium...maybe I should pop by Starbuck at night to have a look at Stella, that's if you don't mind!
