Hi! I have a miniature pinsher named 'Scrabby'. He is six months old. I am a first time dog owner. A new experience but a rewarding one. I fell in love with Scrabby the first time I saw him. He is quite a handfull, intelligent and mischevious. Do share your experiences with this breed.

to have a doggie lover like "U".....i have a 2 mths MP with me now..a female & black & tan colour..i love her so much....naughty all the time & i have plenty of my time to play with her....hahaahah

My name is lai peng and I am from ipoh. My min pin, scrabby was about 3 mths old when we bought him from the vet. After some weeks he started to have skin problems. First he was scratching all over and fur dropping with dandruff-like flakes from the skin. Vet said it was fungus infection. After medication, ok for awhile. Then two part near his shoulder blades became 'botak'. Vet said it was mange. Gave him a jab. The condition became better. Last week he started to have watery stools that came with gluey kind of liquid & blood. However he was still very active. Just lost appetite (he used to eat like a greedy pig!). Now he picks on his food and play with it instead of eating. Vet said he ate something dirty and got infection or some kind of worms. After medication, stools ok. But appetite still not so good. I am thinking of changing food from EagleP to ChickenSoup... (and by the way, scrabby drop a couple of teeth). What do you feed your min pin?

Hi Lai Peng nic 2 meet u!!!! actly all MP wil get some skin pro whn thy r puppy, so u dun wrong so much maybe after few month it wil be better.I giv my dogs ate 'EVOLVE' dog food its was very good 4 urs dog cz it not too oily n olso care bout urs dog skin n fur.So i suggt u giv ur dog eat 'EVOLVE' dog food...............wat col is urs dof??

Scrabby (my min pin) is black and tan. His skin condition is improving. He is very small for his age (only about 2kg/6mths old). Not thin but tiny! Your dog eat anything he picks from the floor?

ya lor, actually mostly minpin got skin problem while their puppy time . First day i got Rhyno, he oso got skin problem. after using medicated shampoo, his skin be better. so dun be worry .

Ginger, thanks for your reply. It's very 'sakit hati' to see his hair dropping and the bald patches. But things are better now. I love him very much! Your dogs are so cute!

Do you think males min pin are more naughty? Scrabby is uncontrollable when it comes to grooming. Bath time is like a war! He will run around like a mad cat and likes to hide behind me (away from the bath tub). I get angry and scold him and he will look down with a sad face (for a split second only) and struggle again. Now I leash him during bath time. Cutting his nails is also difficult. The vet asked me to put him on the table (he will not struggle so much becos of the height). Helped a little but our doggie pretend to cry by yelping before I cut anything. Just hold his paws and he gives a loud yelp! The great pretender! He attacks the brush if I try to comb him! The only time he stay still is when I wipe his stomach area. He has this contented look on his face when I do that! Naughty boy!

male minpin naughty?? Rhyno not so naughty coz he very scare my bf, somehow if we scolding Romeo, Rhyno'll sit down quietly shown tat he scare oso. if there is bitting, Rhyno'll slowly walk back to his cage n stay inside till end , he will come out again. he is so clever, he seen like dun want to get involve.

Rhyno boy scare water compared wit Romeo. 1 thing maybe coz Rhyno is smooth coat, easily to fell cold so he dun like water. if we go out for walk, he won't step water, water splash on him, he oso dun like. he will keep on wipe his face using his hand.But Romeo like water very much.

Well, Ast stands 4 austrailian silky terrier. No i dun have Frown

. But my neighboorhood got 2 oso. 2 blackies and they r really noisy when i took my silky out 4 a walk
