I wanted to own a chh and i think CHH are so cute and cuddly , but i cant find any pet shops selling one mostly are silky terriers or schnauzers or shih tzus(i dont mind getting a shih tzu but i dont think i can cope with to groom it everyday)...can i have details bout any CHH breeder around KL or selangor? i dont mind whether the dog has any cert or not and i read some of the posted msgs, CHH can cost up to rm 1500,but i dont think i can afford to pay more than rm 1000.. are there any breeder that sell their CHH(female or male - but prefer female) less than rm1000 or cheaper than rm800?

Hi,
i think rm1400 is too expensive for me..i can only afford if its rm900++...coz i have to save the money for other things for the chh, ie: toys, cage, food, med & etc.. can anybody tell me how to see how old is the CHH because of its small body, anybody can simply put the age on the CHH rite...and at what age do a CHH started to feel that it want to mate??...do a 3months old CHH want to mate?? confuse...coz i wanted to buy this CHH but the lady said he's 3 mths old although i can see its 'thing'(penis) already comin out, i scared when i buy the CHH..he'll get crazy coz there's no female CHH around to mate and started to hump all sort of things, needed info and guidance on this subject! please...hehe

well, chh is small, so it is easy to handle... and no need to worry bout neutering. if you have a medium breed/large breed,youmight wanna neuter it, in case you are not able to handle it.
well, i not sure is it for chh. you have to check the teeth, to see how old is the puppy.

Hi,
Read some of your post regarding your intention to buy a chihuahua. Welcome to our Chihuahua gang here.
I don't think u can get less than rm1000 from breeders, coz breeders normally come with cert and microchip. Í personally don''t know perhaps others can help. There will be a dog show in this coming weekend at Phoenix Plaza, Cheras. If you are interested, u can go there and perhaps can meet some of the breeders there too.
In order for you to judge the puppy's age, like misterstan mention, u hv to look at their teeth. 3m old chi's teeth still pretty small(puppy teeth). Regarding the "thing" coming out, I can't remember seeing pp's "thing" come out that early. Normally humping beside sexual shows dorminant and it is quite normal for toy breed to show dorminant. It will be too young to mate the puppy which is only 3mths old. Male chi normally reach mating age when they are about 8-10m old but it is advisable to only mate your female chi when she's on 2nd heat.
Actually the maintenance costs for chi is pretty small as compare to larger breed. Costs for cage, toys and some accessories are just initial costs which will not incur every month. I hardly spend more than rm50 every mth on my chi and most important thing is you hv to spend more time with them especially when they are puppy. They need more attention during puppyhood due to their size. Beware of the steps which might be too high for chi. Bring him out often after fully vaccin to socialise them as alert, scare of environment are their typical characters.

i think RM1400 is reasonable oledi...if u get it on 1k or below, u must becareful, some ppl might cheap u mayb a mix breed of min pin n CHH.. i dun think can get this price, i use 2 survey alot b4 oso wen i get Romeo... before tat i looking for chihuahua below RM1000, but at last i spent RM1700, coz Romeo was so cute,adorable.

Hi...thanx for all of the infos that all u had given...i really appreaciated it! Now i am a new mommy of a 1 1/2 mth female chihuahua ,named Lolita(her color is like very light brown- its more like blonde) ...i juz bought it a few hours ago..she's so adorable, i feel like i wanna hug her and wouldnt let go...can't wait to post up her pics in here haha.. kinda scared too coz because of her age too young, i dont really know how to take care of it but i'll try my best...do u guys have any important advice to tell me about how to raise my Lolita so that she can grow up strong and healthy??

oh, thank u!!.. yeah i know..she's too young ..when i saw her at that time, i know that i had to buy her coz there are another lady wanted to buy her too..luckily she said that she need her brother opinion before buying but she said that goin to be back tonite then she left, so my bf said i really like her then juz take it..so both of us bought her..we pay rm800 but she's without a cert though(most of the cert chi that we asked bout is rm1400-rm2000, we cant afford that much) but Lolita so cute so i dnt care whether she got cert or not hehe.. so i'm crossing my finger hope that Lolita will be healthy and can get thru til her teenage years, Lolita eating dog food ..she's so playful and keep on jumping up and down all over her cage while playing with her toy, after that she sleeps again when she's tired...but i'm curious, juz now my Lolita cry a lil' bit while sleeping as if she's dreaming bout sumthin.. is that normal or she's juz miss her brothers? how do u take care of ur chis??...i'm a first time chi mommy so i'm not expert in raising one yet ..haha

I'm not chi expert too as pp is my first chi too and he is going to 11 mths this 19th.
She cried may be due to new environment, she will be ok after awhile. Just remember that she is still too young, don't bring her out first. Has she taken her 1st vaccin?

yeah..she already take her 1st vaccine and i'm bout to bring her to vet on the 27th again..wah..last nite didnt have enuf sleep..at first she slept so 'syok' then after that when me & my bf were bout to sleep suddenly its her time to wake up pulak..haha she kept on crying2 inside her cage which is beside our bed,at first we thought that she's scared of the dark, so we switch on bed side lamp for her lah..mana tau when she saw us, she kept on scratching the cage like she wanted to go out at the same time she cried.. i so kesian cant tahan she like this so i sit beside her till she felt comfortable and play with her toys..after she felt tired and fall asleep again..when i 'syok'2 dreaming, my Lolita cried again..so this its my bf turn to comfort her..haha...so we take turn until morning to accompany her although i'd let my bf slept more coz he need to go to work this morn, as for me i'm free coz no class.. so i dont have enuf sleep also dont mind lah...dont know whether she will cry again or not 2nite?? hehe...

my pp or even tt didn't cry at night except that tt will make noise to ask us let her out from cage to poo..now she stopped doing that liao... Guess she must be still not used to the environment.
Remember don't over play with her on day time and perhaps u can put an alarm clock which has dit dot sound. It might make her felt like being accompanied, not sure work or not, can try. Hope she won't wake both of u up again tonight lah...

i bought my baby at a pet shop&vet at tmn connaught...she came with two of her brothers , somebody had bought one of her brother when i was there to see her...so my bf faster2 paid the aunty coz there was another lady wanted to buy her as well...haha
