Beagle Breed Lecture Can't Post

Hi,

I am just interested to know how many people out there would be interested to hear a breed lecture on the beagle by a Beagle Specialist Judge from Melbourne.

She is a good friend of mine and I have attended a breed lecture by her some years back and I learnt heaps from that.I still have her lecture notes and refer to it on and off.

She has written to my regarding this matter as she is actually going to be in Indonesia somewhere in May 2005 and if possible she will make her way here on a stop over.

I would just like to see what the response is.And perhaps if there are enough numbers we can organise something for the beagle people in Malaysia.A look into the breed standard will help the new comers learn to select quality specimens that represent the breed.

Getting a quorum will be the first step. And perhaps some others can suggest a venue that we can use.

In the breed lecture I attended in Melbourne there were some people that brought their beagles there as specimens and samples for the trainee judges to examine. If the venue allows perhaps some of you could bring your beagles.

But it's just a thought. She asked me if I could organise something for the benefit of the beagle people here. But I am not what the response will be.

Please let me know if any of you are interested.

Jonathan

Depending on the dates and location, I would be very interested. I'm in Penang.

Somewhere without annoying traffic jams and cheap but good hotels with lots of good local food would be ideal.

Please keep me posted.

Hi all,

Hey Jon finally this is coming from a beagler like you. Well done. I think it's a very encouraging effort for the future of the breed here. We must be a well-informed owner b4 we decide to venture into the breed and this is surely the best step for all to take. Let's not just speak, action starts here, everyone pls fill in their names in the list below so that we can at least have a head count for the event, just a rough estimation of how many we should expect:

Names of Potential Participants:

1. Terry Kwan (1M & 1F lemon white beagle hp:012-3173071)

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

7.

Hi,

we are still deciding now....it's not easy to find a venue suitable for everyone n cheap enuff for its rent.....so we are just trying to gather general interests first to see how many we should expect....no point looking for a place when there is not even enuff interests shown......so pls ask everyone to drop their names n contacts here 1st ok......jonathan should be coming back with some news afterwards.

hi Mr.beagle

yeah, you can still train.. but your beagle might be reluctant, as he is used to without training lah, and your beagle might not be listening to your commands as fast as puppies.

well, a piece of advise lah from me... if you really decided to bring him for training, and have completed the training... you gotta repeat the command, if not your beagle will forgot..

well, beagle charateristics are like that. you can't blame him also.. hehehe
