hello glng675,

ya..i heard about feeding brown sugar to sick dogs. i've not tried. wonder if it works..hmmm

i guess bathing dog at seaside to treat mange is quite explainable. sea water contain salt and salt solution does kill most of the bacteria/mites/fungus.

They feed to the dog who dun want to eat & drink (maybe cann't eat & drink anymore), finally the dog is re-cover...Shocked

But if our home is far away from seaside, I think it is impossible to bathing dog at seaside...dun know can use salt water to replace it or not?Sly

For dogs with mild fungal infection on the skin, try to mix a bit of vinegar (very diluted please) to the shampoo. Soak the dog for at least 10 minutes. The acidity of the vinegar will kill or at least prevent the yeast infection from spreading.

sorry - forgot to mark send notification on reply... BlushBlush

Vinegar? I use apple cider vinegar you can get from supermarkets - look in the cooking section where the store pickles, preserved stuff etc. I dilute about 5 ml to about 500ml - vinegar is actually sour and acidic so it helps combat yeast infections (which need alkaline conditions to survive).

I find that it helps my terrier which has yeast infection on her skin.
