i am sure there is more training, my hubby is teaching her to speak (bark) on command, i am not teaching her jump till she is very much older. i trained my pup since i got her at 7 1/2 weeks. i cut her some slack of 3 days and star formal training at 8 weeks. housetraining started once we got her she is 16 weeks now.
hmm..i suppose u have a cocker spaniel? u need to ask cocker owners how they train theirs lor. mine is a golden, easy to train and obedient.
try training with treats as it will usually work. when she sit, give treat, later he will associate the sit with treat and u don't have to give treat anymore in future.
i also own a golden now...he's nearly to 3 months..
ya..ur rite..golden are smart dogs..can be trained easily with treats..
now my Toby has learned :-
- Name 80%
- Come 50% ..sometimes he doesn't want to come if something distracts him
- Sit 60% ..only when there's food/treat..then...he will definitely obey this command
- Bring 40% ...bringing his toy to me..i usually play catch with his toys..he LOVES it..
- Paw 100% ..woohoo!..even without any treats!
- The other paw ...getting close to 100% too!
- Up 70%....i'll lift up my arm..palm facing down at a certain height..then he will jump up. Not too high though as he still can perform a "safe landing"..hehe

roll over is more like a trick. some dogs are not comfy doing it. but if ur dog has master the "down" command and "down stay", roll over should be a simple one. let him in "down" command and hold a treat at his nose and roll him with the other hand and let him follow the trick in your hand. once he complete this, treat and praise, repeat until he gets it in his head.

you r welcome. you can log on to www.kidsanddogs.com or www.loveyourdogs.com and they have .avi file on how it is done. if both website don't work just do a search on google - dog tricks.
