think he did bite training with the dog, he say must do obedience 1st only can start with bite training. he just showed me the dogs picture. and some newspaper article.

..... actually i plan to correct his behaviour on beginning of dec. because the time i will be back. but the thing is i cant even go near him....now i think he view me and my brother as his enemy. besides that he is quite moody, and according to my mum, if his not in a good mood. nobody goes near him. --
with dog its about time everyone knows that you dont just plan to fly in correct the dog and fly out as if nothing happens and expect the dog to follow. This only happens in cartoons series and not real life. Like I mentioned before its sounded like a pack issue meaning your mon dad and the 2 cambodian is in the higher hieracki than u and your bro. whom is below the dog. In order to correct this the dog needs to be under perfect OB by someone first. Then the introduction can get on the way. Nothing before that. Without any experience and just armed with reading books I can say it may not be possible or as easy as u planned.
but i read from the book. they say that the trainer will happily let u see how they train the dog. and they say that is a bad idea to hand your dog over to other trainer.
That is refering to normal dogs or your daily properly socialised pet. I'm refering to your case as not normal dogs but a problem dog of 1.5 years old. Problem dog needs different approach. Obviously this sounded like high pack dog and if any known members are with him then the bonding with another person (the trainer) will be harder and almost impossible to achieve in some very hard dogs.
for that case, the dog dont really listen to u.(is that really the case?) send in 3-4 month????!!!??? just for obedience training??!?!? that would cost me a fortune.maybe the obedience training u refering here is different from what i know. the mistake i made is definitely never socialise the dog. because i was new in this dog area
Heheheh What do u expect, cheap but still good and big piece? Realistically u have to start from somewhere. You already have first hand knowledge of what cheap speed training does for you. If you want reliable and model dog then it comes with a realistic fair price. We must be logical with our aims here. Only pass your dog over if you really trust the trainer otherwise search more about him before making your decision. Everyone have their price depending on the kind of services. Cadillac service at proton price is not a reality

so many ppl tell me different type of story. according to some ppl they said that if u want the dog to be guard dog u cant let them see so many ppl. so that they would be more fierce. now i know that is a bullsh**!!!! i blame myself for being so naive and believe them as well. i know he still got hope. if the one is like a smaller dog i would happily put in a lot effort to try to correct the behaviour. as u can see this is a rott. he can injured me severely if im not careful.
That seams to be the extreames of what people do. When I first started in protection dogs this same piece of advice is often given to me. For me anything goes and anything has its price to pay. For example dog lacking socialisation will show very fierce defense in their own home but when out of the home they become a nervous ball of wreck. Also many people cannot read a dog and to most a barking dog showing their tooth is a fierce dog to them. In most cases its the opposite and that same dog is actually barking out of fear and any one knowing dog can simply turn the dog over and he will be running with the tail between the legs. However if people that does not have the commitment to properly train a dog then this method seams to be prefered as they become a natural watch dog showing impressive sets of tooth.
The proper way is to socialise the shit out of the dog so that he can be so confident he will perform his duties under whatever test and condition. This way most of the dog will not show teeth at all to strangers when u are around because they are confident of themselves. But dont try anything funny cause they will act if reacted on or the right conditions allow them to engage. This is the real guard dog or personal protection dog not crazy barking dog. This may sound impressive but I had experienced that 9 out of 10 people will cringed when they ask about the price, time and commitment for this type of training. So this is the case in Malaysia.
I guess it is due to this that many people got cheated. Because everyone wants cheap service and these sort of trainers will offer all sorts of speed training n sub standard methods to keep the cost low. RM1K in pocket is RM1K richer. No follow up service, no good advice given.
