hahah... my lab is a spayed female and she thinks she's a male..... she loves belly rubs and facial massages...... and she loves her food hahahah... her nickname is Vaccum cleaner heheheh.....

Yup, that's my Tammy girl... is she the right size? I think her head is not square enough..... but she is a hyper girl.... but one thing that's really weird is she hates baths..... I thought labs love water.... Why you say mine is right size? Is your's big?

ya. lab tends to enjoy water. mine esspecially love water. everyday play by the fish pond. as a result had to fench it up to avoid her getting face wet. Tongue

i seen few labs around. yours among those average size. just right unlike mine. shan's overweight.. in process of getting her to tammy's size now. hopefully it would work.. Angelic

Oh, your's love water hahaha... mine just love to dip her paws into a bowl... very funny sometimes.... and she loves to play fetch by herself... I don't throw it, she throws the bone herself and catches it hahaahah....

My Tammy is spayed and I always thought spayed females tend to become overweight, well, she's so fit and muscular that people actually think she's an agility dog or something ahhaha...... I think to get you SHan fit, you got to get a boxer, boxers are the ones who made my Tammy fit hehehehe......

mine play football by herself. normally starts at 5. chases the ball around for hours. when she's bored with football, she will go to the front and wait for her bf who will appear during his evening walk routine.. you should try getting a ball. roll it. i'm pretty sure tammy will chase it. who knows? yer other dogs will join in as well..

i dun think all spayed females are overweight. probably the stuff they eat. wat you feed yer dog anyway?

Hahahah... your Shan got a boyfriend? I think my Tammy thinks she's a male.... but there's this white terrier who comesto visit my place just to see Tammy hehehe... I think that terrier likes my Tammy but she hates him....

Yes, I do have a ball for her but the thing is my boxer ah, he's one big greedy pig, throw the ball to Tammy and he will race her to it, grab it and takes it away from her.... but she loves the toy bone hehehe....

Oh, all my dogs are on cooked food.... Tammy gets to eat rice, an egg, beef, chicken, vege puree and sometimes as a treat, 1/3 canned dog food.....

hello.

I'm sanjay from puchong....i have like 6 labs and now another 8 puppies...

got 2 adults....Gabana(M) and Doylce(F) and thier two kids, Ranee and Raven(both F), then i bought Tyson(Black M), then Mystic(F) came in coz my friend couldnt take care of her due to her long coat!...

Then Doycle gave birth to 4males and 4female on 30th Aug....All very healthy and cute....

where you frm? you have any other dogs?

I have shihtzus and MS too....got 2 mix breeds too!

Hi! I have a female Labrador named Angel. She is four months old now and I feel she is a little skinny. Is it normal because she is a female or is there something I can feed her to make her at least look a little more healthy weight-wise? I have tried feeding her more but it makes no difference. I'm concerned that her size is very small still and she weighs only 7kgs.

Size--The height at the withers for a dog is 22� to 24� inches; for a bitch is 21� to 23� inches. Any variance greater than � inch above or below these heights is a disqualification. Approximate weight of dogs and bitches in working condition: dogs 65 to 80 pounds; bitches 55 to 70 pounds.

The minimum height ranges set forth in the paragraph above shall not apply to dogs or bitches under twelve months of age.

You say she looks skinny, can you see her ribs? Puppies normally have rounded bodies a bit, ribs can be felt but can't be seen.... if you can feel the ribs but can't see them then she is ok..... try feeding her an egg, hard boiled, it'll help and also some extra protein like boiled chicken....

I can see her ribs.. I'll try the hard boiled eggs and see what happens.
Lately, she has been looking a bit better after I started feeding her 3 times a day during my few days leave.

Oh, she is 3 months rite? Yes, you should continue feeding her 3 times a day.... when she is almost 5 months, you can change the diet to 2 meals a day.....

try giving appeton...it will sure help her to gain weight!!

mix appeton in her daily drinking water and oso give her like 5ml of appeton(injecting into her mouth) or do ask ur vet's opinion

It helped me on my skinny lab too...now she has a good body....phew phit!
