my name is nav and i saw this site today and itz really usefull. so i signed up for it..
ok i have some problems with my almost 5 month siberian husky..
he wont stay in a crate.. i tried many things.. i keep the crate in my garage, outside and i even put it in my room and even if i leave him in a room he starts crying and howling.. i ask people and they say that just ignore it and he will shut up.. but i try that and my neighbors think that im abusing him and stuff and they called the cops on me.. =\ and the cops warned me that if he cries again, theyl take me to court..
how can solve his problem???? if some1 can help me please

I had your thread and I refer to a friend of mine with the nickname "lovedoggies".. I use to have a Malamute and Husky but never had this problem... Guess I was lucky... But I heard my Mal howl before... I did not make notice of it and soon I don't hear it unless something strike him... I hope those neighbor will just mind their own business... Like mine.. They made me lost my Golden Retriever.. I know I was wrong to have too many dogs but they did not bother them except maybe noisy but they got no right to make me loose my dog... :( Update me when you can.. Fion

well ur dogs didnt howl or didnt give ur problems because they had company and probably didnt feel alone.. i only have 1 husky =[ .. and u know how these dogs r... if left open they will find a way to run outside.. and he have ran outside twice too but my neighbors had catch him... and when ever i leave him open outside in my backyard.. i always feel unsafe and worried... and he will be eating drinking the stuff he is not supposed to by which he gets sick.. i really want him to sit in a crate but i cant do nuin cuz he will cry and my neighbors think im abusing him and stuff and i have got a warning from the police too.. is there neway how i can teach him to shut up and sit in his crate... he wont even go in.. he wont even take a step in dea.. =\

I guess so since I can never just have 1 dog.. I did just have 1 dog before but ended up getting the second one feeling she might get lonely when we are not around and now ended up with 3 dogs and 2 cats... Oops... I don't know how to help you but I again messenger my frien who have a Husky with the nickname lovedoggies... Hmmm... where you stay? Perhaps at times I may be able to dogsitting for you... But no promise.. Have to see the timing.. Usually Tuesday and weekends can... Unless I want to take my kids out... I have lots of company for him and hmmm hope don't chase cats.... I mean maybe while you are at work... I don't know how much I can help but I really have never gone thorugh this problem before... Sorry yeah... Hope lovedoggies will answer you soon... Neighbor sometimes are tiresome and trouble making.... I understand... I had once have to take one of my Cocker to my parents' house everyday but difficult because my Pitt Bull fights with him so all those days suck big time... And worst they even call the cops on us... and even made MPSJ make us give away our GR... I know how that feels.. Fion

thanx for the help man.. im from new york city ( usa )... this forum is really helping so thaz y i signed up for it.. so u cant baby sit my dog... well thaz not the thing some1 is always home but u know i cant stay with him 24/7.. u know siberian huskies r really energetic.. they wont reallly stay inside most of the time makes a mess.. so i dun bring him inside that much and he dun want to stay in either....

hi hi.....
i got the same prob with my husky also... if he gets seperated with my other doggy....
but just last week they had a major fight.... its something that never happened before =(
and when i seperate them he keep crying... so got no choice... cant seperate them until he cant see the other dog... so have to put both oh leash.. but with lots of space to move...
probably get him a companion ? i read too and huskies really long for companion
try to keep ur backyard safe maybe ? make sure there is no way for him to escape... maybe try tie-ing him on a leash too like me ? but a long one ?

Oh gosh... at myself.. Never ask already talk so much... Hmm so you are not Malaysian... Like "lovedoggies" said, if possible get him a companion... After reading what she said, I remember one time... I have a baby gate I bought to make him stay in one spot because he had been chewing up my carpet (when I was studying in Michigan, USA)... And other dogs are the other side of the apt. This made him howl a lot until I release him with other dogs... They are pack dogs so maybe this is why??? Well, do keep us update then? Thanks God those never touch my daughters.... Sigh... Now I don't know how to face Baby already.. But guess not really her fault.. but the thing is dogs r really expensive ova here (usa) .. i bought my puppy for $ 975... and now every week i go to his vet.. they charge me $100+ every week... so i dun think i can afford 1 more dog... well i just tie him these days.. i probably return his crate.. which is uselesss and no1 has a idea how can i put him his crate..

Hehehhe. sorry to confuse you.. She was hurt but lucky not the eyes which the wound is near... Got 4 stiches on the face just below the eye... I will email you her photo lo.. I write diary on my kids one so I take photos of them if important thing to write about... Hehehe actually not important also I take one hehehe Now too many photos also don't know where to put lo..
