go for obedience training organized by puppy.com. there is also training organized by other association but i think puppy.com is the cheapest

Re: [Sydney] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

how old is your dog? bcs training is divided into several classes (puppy, beginner, novice, etc) and these training are organized by several institutes; puppy.com, mka, pets safari. pets safari is indoor but is expensive. the other 2 is outdoor but cheaper. cheapest is puppy.com. mka need to pay membership i think

Re: [Sydney] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

You can actually train your dog even without the Obedience Classes by reading the Obedience guide book, Internet and so on! Laugh But I do not know which the good book is, which is available in the shop and all, so you might wanna ask others. Tongue But it'll be good for you to join the classes so that you can actually see how they do it. Laugh I train my dog by myself too, but going to attend the Obedience classes since Lucky isn't good at Obedience around other doggies! She ends up jumping here and there anywyas. Laugh

Hi Sydney!!!Sly

I agree what Whity-Rabirabit Say. You can buy some book about training your puppy and its not difficult to learn how to train your puppy. Is up to you actually. If you decided to join training classes Puppy.com obedience class is the right place for you to start. But you must not use any Chock Chain for your Silky training!!! Cos it will break the hair around its neck. Remember!!!!Wink

Re: [Sydney] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

my puppy is just 2 months and 25 days. training him is for his own good and for me good ekeke. well, if you can train your pup/dog through a book, then it would be better because it is cheaper. but if you find that your methods of teaching is not working on him, then you might have to send him for Obedience training.

Re: [Sydney] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

there is not a hard time, it is just that i prefer to send him for training. he doesn't scratch me nor bite me, but once in a while he do bite me, either bcs his teeth is changing or i do not know what other reason. he would sit if i ask him to. he would avoid biting leaves if i shout at him. i see if i really need to send him or not. thanks for that good question sydney.

Re: [MisterStan] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

give him a treat. What i mean is when you want 2 train him, say sit. if that doesn't work push his rump down. When u want 2 push it down say sit. Remember push down his rump gently. If he obeys, then give him a treat.Smile

Kewl! You're so amazing! I'm impressed! If there's anything just put your questions in the forum, I'm sure me or some other people will answer you. Laugh I'm planning to go for the Obedience Class since Lucky needs some distraction with the other doggies around. Laugh She can do it in my compound but not outside especially doggies are around! Hey bro! I agree with the Choke collar too. I've used it before and it really nearly killed Lucky long time ago...it really "chokes" dogs! That collar isn't good for dogs that pulls so much. LaughLaugh

Re: [Sydney] Trainning [In reply to] Can't Post

well it depends. there are 3 places that i know that organized such training. they are pets safari, puppy.com and MKA. i not too sure about mka, all i know is that mka, you have to pay membership fee annually, then only you need to pay rm100 for (not sure how many lesson). the training is outdoor.

for pets safari, rm350 for 10 lessons. each lesson is about 1 1/2 hours. the training is indoor.
