Hello!! i sees a lot of gathering at KK. But some doggie here just stay very far. Like my coco loh!
just wondering anyone who stay around PJ, Damansara, Kepong... hmm? who like to have a dog walk togather at Taman Rimba at Taman Tun Dr.Ismail togather?
1. There is fence for the park. safety No.1
2. There is lake, yet dirty lake. hope ur dog won't drink water over there.
3. very few people likes to go there, because there is a nicer park beside this taman rimba.
4.coco always off leash over there. seems like all doggie can b off leash and play over there?
hi cowcow, Well, u made some good points..In fact, we had our first gathering there. Subsequently we opt for K.K as we discovered it's no longer a doggie friendly place... that was the feedback from some members. Apparently, the guard stopped them from entering into the park. Another thing is, may be small dog/puppies are allowed? Are u able to find out for us? regards,
may be u r in luck .. ... or may be those unlucky members bite the dust!
or may be the particular guard resigned?!? Well, it's ok for me to goto Tmn Rimba for another round of gathering... perhaps in Feb?
Dunno about other members.. I'm not worried about off-leashing Rex in K.K.. as it's a flat land with little trees... and in certain way, it's confined between the bush & the lake. U should come on 25/1 to take a look... but for Rimba Park..am a bit concerned for our Muslim friends as well as let the dogs roam freely..
No i don't hv training at padang merbuk, i just go there to hv a look and let my dog socialise a bit so i'm flexible on sunday, whether padang merbuk or TTDI is ok by me.
Yeap, I'm Ok wit Tmn Rimba as well. By the way when will be the best date for the feb gathering ?
After CNY ?

so far what i notice is the park basically only have few indians who staying near the kampung there riding motor bike around, not guard, and some old folks kung fu, no see malays so far.
compare to the park besides, i still see him the guard over there untill 9 somethin . maybe they have abundent this Taman Rimba?
Hi cowcow, I may have to work that weekend but I can always go therre another time since I live quite near the park. No, I've never tried letting Bodhi off leash in a public place because she's not that well trained yet. Don't know if she'll ever be. Even if she was, beagles may not listen to your commands if they managed to pick up a scent to follow. So, unless the place is absolutely fenced up, I don't think I dare to let her off leash.
Yes by all means, do join. In fact, there has been quite a few doggie gatherings already (including humans too!!!) . Just keep a lookout on the "Events" thread. Btw, welcome to the forum and hope you find the right doggie. Take your time, don't rush it and choose one which you think will best suit your lifestyle. All the best .
Thanks for the warm welcome ! Since this new year I'm not celebrating due to my grandma's demise last Nov, I think I will be giving a visit to PAWS and SPCA. The only thing which is detering me from getting a puppy in SPCA and PAWS is because they can't have litters someday. Anyway, since I can't manage to adopt one thru the web I think it's better I try my luck thru the animal centre.
Cow Cow, Gong Xi Fa Chai....Gong Xi Fa Chai to everyone too! I would love to have pix of all the cute doggies..but hmmmm..I doubt the ears of my little Harvey will flap as much as Coco...hope Coco and you enjoyed yourself during this CNY! Mommy to Harvey Milkbone
Hi all, I'm a newbie here and I'm so glad that I've finally found this forum! Been so tired looking for a place to take my 8 month old female basset for walks. I live in USJ and would love to take her to this Taman Rimba. Hopefully can join the group. Keep us posted.
