Hi welcome to the forum.
Normally pug are very active. They like to play a lot. 4 months is a puppy and they will run around most of the time. Eating fast is part of a pug characteristic. There is nothing wrong with your pug. Normally all dogs are active when they are puppy. When they grow up will slow down a bit.

Hi,
what you see in your pug is the result of living in a prison during the most important time in his live!
A normal puppy grows up with the mother, has plenty human contacts, learns how gras feels at the feet(or stones, or sand), plays with littermates, children, or other animals. This is called socialisation.
But this time is finished when they are about 16 weeks old!!!
Now your pug feels probably like "tarzan" when he came the first time to new york.
Be aware, that pet-shop puppies have behavior problems for all their live! They cannot catch up experience that they missed in their cages the first four months of their live!
Stop buying puppies from pet shops or brokers, buy from a responsible breeder! Regards Angie Behaviorist and Health Practitioner
All healthy puppies are active (even little fellas like pugs) ... And some puppies will be more greedy than others ... so there is nothing to worry about.
But if you have purchased your pug from a pet shop ... then I suggest you take heed of meidy's advice ...
All the best with your new dog ...
Cheers
PS: Meidy ... good points ...
