Hey guys, no conflict created. We both are Malamute lovers ;) So there is an instant bond Thanks Fiona for understanding. Although I knew you would cos you are a Malamure lover You know it is soo hard sometimes to bring a though or idea across in these forums . Yes, I was really looking out for you. I know the stress on taking on a Malamute esp when one needs help. I worry a lot about any Malamutes in general. Because as mentioned previously, I hear A LOT about Mals being dumped in the pound and put down because people do not understand their temperament due to environment changes. Vets make different assessments when they are not experienced with Malamutes. I have taken Sebastian to different vets and get advised on different things! I wonder what the condition in quarantine is? I personally would avoid any quarantine for my dog at all costs!! Unless I knew the vet that worked there or someone that worked there. And if I really really had to. I have also seen it in my own Malamute, being in a different enviroment causes some aggression too. Also, I would not trust anyone that doesn't know too much about Malamutes ie the quarantine people might think he is a wolf and be mean to him? Many people have preconceived ideas about the dog by just looking at them! Malamutes look very fierce and aggressive esp to people who have no experience with Malamutes. I really don't want the Malamute to be ill treated in any way. And this would be possibly hard to avoid when he is quarantined? With Malamutes, just one thing that hurts them emotionally, they can carry it on for a while!! Which is very human like. I have seen this in some Malamutes, once they lose trust, it is hard to gain. I hope the Malamute is treated well. Sorry to hear that you weren't able to take your dogs back, I know how that would feel. I won't leave the country permanently I think because of my dog! I think it is so wonderful you want her to be with her dog but I worry how the dog would feel moving from country to country? He might think "what is going on???" What would you like to know about me Fiona? I am pretty boring lol PS one of my best friend's names is Fiona too In summary - I love my Malamute and his hair is constantly all over my clothes Feel free to ask me anything or email me Is a boarding kennel in Seoul an option? Would be a lot better for the Malamute.
