Repellent Spray Can't Post

Dear All,

I used a repellent spray to train my 7 months shih tzu not to pee and poo at certain area. She will usually pee and poo on the newspaper which located at the balcony. However, during this 2 days, she started to pee and poo in the house again, even pee and poo on the sprayed area. Is the repellent spray not strong enough? Can anyone suggest if you know a better repellent spray?

Thanks.

Re: [jleong] Repellent Spray [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi ...

Personally ... I don't think repellant sprays work all that well ... and even if they do, the dogs get used to the smell ... and then it stops working ...

Repellant sprays, may assist with "house training" a dog ... but may not be substitute for proper "house-training" methods using praise & reward ... coupled with crate training or newspaper training ... Check the threads - there is much information available ...

Cheers Smile
