Abscessed pimple at stomach area Can't Post

Hai....
I have a 14months female Maltese. She's just got her first menstruation, after that at her stomach (part with no/least fur) grow some abscessed pimplesUnsure is it normal or a skin disease? should i go to the vet? my friend told me that was normal and not to worry about, just like human will have pimples when puberty, is it true?
Thank's all, any advice are appreciatedSmile

Hi ...

By abcessed pimples ... I assume you mean pus-filled pimples (pustules) ...

While dogs do undergo hormonal change during puberty ... I don't think I'd go so far to say that dogs suffer from acne the same way humans do.

The presence of pus indicates an infection ...

Will suggest that you keep the area clean by wiping the area with solution of water & natural salt (which acts like a mild disinfectant) ... and observe your dog ... If the pustules do not subside in a the next few days ... then it may be an idea to take your dog to a vet for diagnosis and treatment ...

Cheers Smile
