My landed home is nearing completion and I really would love to buy either a Labrador or Golden Retriever for my spouse (we have never reared a dog before ourselves). We just got married and do not have children so we hope to inject some 'excitement' into our abode with a pup. Of course, owning and rearing a dog come with its fair share of responsibility.
I have some queries to make:
1. Where can I go to get a Labrador or Golden Retriever? What sort of price range should I be looking at for these sort of canine?
2. What sort of precaution/advice should I note before purchasing these sort of dogs?

To purchase the Lab or GR from breeders, all you need to do is to contact MKA at for a list of Lab adn GR breeders. You can also check local newspaper for AD put up by breeders.

Hi Khoobg,
Is there any particular breeder I should go to or is there one I should avoid at all cost? As I have never bought a dog before, I will not know if the puppy is healthy or otherwise. Moreover, I am unable to verify any claims made by the breeder or petshop.

I'm keeping a male golden,if you been to my "intro" topic, then u can take a look at my golden's pictures. I'm not sure if my golden can adapt the heaty weather in KL, but he's with me in US now, and he loves snow very very much! but it's getting popular to keep golden as pet now in M'sia, right? as they are considered as hunting dog, hope my golden and adapt to anykind of weather.
