i don't think that her dog will get lost again if she is a responsible owner.

make sure that her house is fenced properly and the front gate is always keep close.

i think yr friend need to be more patient in taking care of her dog because her dog might have went thru torturous times when he was stolen or might have encountered something really bad that would have made him turned so scared/biting ppl at times. just tell yr friend to give her dog more tender loving care and patient in taking care of him. i am sure he will realise that this world is not so bad after all. looks like the dog is traumatised during her abduction. She can probably sense that she is not welcomed at home and she may have fear from the house in puchong cos thats where it all happened.

Give the dog some time, make sure your friend spends more time to care and love the dog at a crucial moment now. Give the dog alot of encouragement and reassurance..touching the dog, talking to the dog will help calm her down. if your friend has time, its good to put on soft music and stroke the dog, its like theraphy for them too...when your friend is going to leave the dog alone, talk to the dog, look her in the eye and reassure her or distract her like giving her a toy or food. it may help both your friend and her dog.

If the dog is biting ppl, its probably out of self defense.. reassure the dog its alright now and stop her habit immediately.

Keep the dog in the house if she is able to cos i hear alot of poisoning and abduction of dogs in puchong also. Good Luck
