Thanks "Khoobg".
I've read it before when I first found out this site.
I also realised that the thread hasn't been updated so far..... I wish to hear more sharing from others who experienced the same situation before and would like to know more about current updated regulations on it.
I would like to know if MAS offer pet traveling service as I can't get the info from MAS webpage.

Hi,

How big is ur goldie now ? i knwo that JAL do provide this service. If it is a small breed, then u can have the pup with u in the passager cabin.

Yes, the MAS flight from Los Angeles to KL do carry PETs. Similarly MAS flight from Australia and Frankfurt also carry PETs.

Cheers

Boon,

My gloden is now 18 months old, 88 pounds.
My problem is, I will move to LA soon from Michigan.
There's quite a few option i could do to send my dog home. One of them is to let my friend bring it back in 3rd Jan. My friend has bought his ticket which is Northwest from MI to LA, and MAS from LA to KL.
Another Option is, I bring my dog home ALONG with me when I go home l(not sure when and not convenient to have him with me in LA), if that's the case, then I'll take Japan Airlines.
Right now, if possible and good to have him with MAS carry service, then I would like my friend to bring him home as they get along very well.
However, If MAS pet service is not a good option compare to other airlines, then I rather bring my dog home later. I just don't want my dog to suffer long journey flight.

"Khoobg"
Do you know how much MAS charge for the service approximately?
I can get very detail information from NW and Japan Arilines, but not MAS. I will try to call them on Monday (still sunday night here). I just wush to know some "honest" facts about the arilines pet carry service.
I'm not really familiar with the "functions" of this site, once I figure out how to "use" it, i'll try to post my dog's pictures here. He is really lovely.

A friend of mine is bringing in his dog from LA to KL in three weeks time on that particular flight (LAX TO KL) and was told that It will cost between US$ 600.00 ~ US$ 700.00 depending on the size of dog and crate at the time of actual travel.

Hope the above help.

Cheers

WOW~!!
That's really more than what I've expected.
When I checked tru the NW and JAL web, I learned that they charge pet traveling (cargo) as one excess luggage payment for domestic flight (about USD$120), and two-luggage payment for international flight (about USD$240). plus micelleneous charges and taxes.

Is there any way I could learn more from your friend?
