Hi Jason
This is my lab, belle's kennel. Most of the time, she will stay inside the kennel equipped with a fan which automatically on from 10 am and off at 7.30 pm when we were out for work. We will free her after work and during nite time.
I hope all these info could be of help to build your own kennel for your boxers.

I think most important is the cleaning system, dont let the sleeping place get too close to the place which the dog suppose to pee & poo, or maybe u got any good system?

aiyo, u make me feel so pai sei and later I will be too proud of myself.
Before I renovate my house, I have already planned all the necessities for my furkids including a comfortable place for them to sleep, eat and do business. I want to make sure that if I have babies, I won't abandon them although I have lesser time for them now.
U r absolutely right, if every dog owner think twice before they get a dog, there will be no hu ha arised. My malay neighbour never give me trouble as I respect them and follow the rules to keep the dogs. Most important thing, TRAIN UR DOGS AND BE A RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNER.
PS: I wish little kailyn will inherit all good stuffs from her mummy and love and care for the dogs too.
I agree with u that the pee and poo area dun get too close to the sleeping area, thats why I dun encourage to cage the dog in a small cage.
My dogs' sleeping area is 7.5' away from the 'toilet'. The floor level of the 'toilet' is 2" lower than the resting/sleeping area. This makes cleaning easier as the water won't wet their sleeping area.
Cleaning system is very important. The 'toilet' inside the dog room is designed in the way that all the pee and poo direct to the septic tank, just like flushing your toilet !
Would advise jason to use porcelain tile for the kennel as its density is higher compare with the normal ceramic tile. urine will seep into the ceremic easily leaving a 'urine fragrance' for u .
