Re: [a_evie] Excessive Barking & Eating Feces [In reply to] Can't Post

Thanks. Just sharing my thoughts here.....Smile

I met a lady, from HK, used to stayed in Condo.
She asked me why her dog so stupid and crazy.... but she loves her dog! i asked her what had happened as she loves the dog but cannot tahan her behaviors....
she told me:
she let the dog has her OWN space, i.e. the Kitchen.
(when the kitchen door is closed, means the dog has the WHOLE room).
But she claimed that the dog so gila, let her has big room, she dun poo, but let her out to play, she simply poo everywhere in the living room, in dining room..... but so well bahaved in kitchen.

well~ i asked the lady:
will you poo on your bed? on the dining table? nobody will mess up their oi-oi place and makan place right?
you won't even place a trash bin next to your dining table to get the smell?
of course she keeps the dog in kitchen, that's her PLACE. so she won't poo there la..... suddenly let the dog out the the places that she only expose to for less than 2 hours a day, of course the dog will release "there".

i told the lady:
"your dog very smart, she knows not to mess up her OWN PLACE, and do it OUTSIDE"Smile

SmileGood advise to the HK lady. Her dog is very civic-minded to keep his own place cleanSlySly

There are people out there who wants a pet but totally have no patience/tolerance for it. Even us human beings need a lot of guidance. I've learnt in a way, your pets teaches you patience and tolerance and in return your pets give you so much love. I can never stay angry at Dome for too long. Maybe for about 10minsSlySly...it's all about their faces and their eyes. Jampi!

smart dog...and quite curiously...what was the lady's response?

when such things happen..folks always blame their dog....aiyah..when it is downright the human factor that is the cause.

Re: [a_evie] Excessive Barking & Eating Feces [In reply to] Can't Post

well~ the lady is the mom of my hongky fren.
she didn't sound ignorant at all, indeed, she was really trying to find out the cause and respect my inputs to her too.

her response was:
OH~ No wonder!!! i didn't realised that and that really sounds logical and answered WHY he poo everywhere hor.....
thanked me somemore.
so....
before we yell at those we think they are doing wrong thing,
try to convey them the correct msg.

good lady....nice to see that she didn't mind ur input. i think some must have been ticked off when folks tell or hint that really it has been human error rather than d fault of the pup / dog.

Guru of Training People-training-dog ...that sounds really good.

Sometimes... when giving out comments, better focus at the matter, not the PEOPLE.Smile That makes others easier to accept the approach.

SmileYing, you are so wise! But you know lah...for some people, if comment them on something the dog has done, it's like an insult to them personally. What to do? Wink
