Re: [boon,PSD] German Shepherd breeder [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Guys,

Yes...I agree prey is good...I would oso like to see more prey, fight & def drv in my dog. Tongue

But my concern is with the nerve issue which I believe is very-very important when it comes to the breeding program coz so that even the pet quality ones will at least be a stable pet. The way I see it we can socialize & exposed our pup/dog to various strange sound /environments to build up its confidence but if the dog ain't have it.....I dun thk there is much we can work on.

Boon,

Lock in prey is related to training issues and not related to genetics lah!Tongue

Yeah Poll,

I second that for sure. Socialisation will make a good dog a great dog, an ok dog a good dog and a so-so dog an OK dog. I like to use visualisation that genetics contained in a dog is not wholely visible. Socialisation will unlock these potentials to make it more prominent. Of course, like u say u still cannot unlock something if it ie never there in the first place. This is why, a working GSD is bread to be a companion of mankind. The show ones are nice to look at for sure.Tongue

Robert,

Yeah I tot I had replied you there.Smile Was waiting for your mail so that I can give you the contact number of that breeder you searched for. We have to respect the board's policy on such direct advertisement and also the privacy of the breeder's contact as well.

Sorry, PSD...didn't know the ruling.. Anyway, I've also e-mailed you for details, as well as I've got some questions posted in the Breed Standard forum on GSD.

Thanks!
