Qualify Trainers is not that cheap They spent alot of time and monies for the sake of the dog's education. If it's a so call dog trainers it might be cheap for they have no background education on dog's training. Nowadays there are alot of this dog trainer's around Read a few of the dog's training and call them self dogtrainers. Now which of these would you like to visit "a doctors or a specialists"
What rebooto said is true-but do not expect much. MKA teaches the members how to train their dogs and the rest is up to the owner to train and follow up. ,-._,-. \/)"(\/ (_o_)
It is true what RD and Kowpa said. Private tutulage is not cheap. All depends on the quality of your final results. In human norms, good quality things are not being sold cheaper than lower quality ones. This is just facts of life. So if anyone claims to be able to train your dog for RM10 then u better watch out.
As a good and responsible dog owner, it actually makes a lot of sense to know about training and caring about your own dog than rely on others to do the job for you. Your options would be
1) to attend a group session like those organised by MKA which will be a lot cheaper but u have to spend 1-2 hours of your time with your dog every weekend. Although this is very basic, it will still do you good if you are starting off as a beginer.
or
2) pay premium price for a premium private service.
or
3) buy a good book and DIY which is even cheaper and u get to practise and understand your dog better. Not necessary u will become instant trainer overnight but if you have the right aptitute and attitude I'm sure u will get better as you go along. This is about trial and error.
good luck

Training your dog doesnt take much time, just 15 - 30 mins a day will do. When he starts responding to you, you would then want to spend more time with him automatically. Try it, you will ( we dog lovers promise) that you will want to do it yourself...after all his, you do want his loyalty to lies with you and not any stranger that trains him, right? Rosann
