My puppy keeps scratching herself and I wonder if anyone has encountered or solved such problem. I brought her to the vet, took blood test and the vet thought she is okay but probably allergic to her shampoo.I have changed her shampoo 3 times now but in vain. I tried changing her diet for a few days but it did not help. Any such experience out there? Thanks.
No idea Pat. Does your puppy have spots on her body?? Is the itching unusual?? She at it all the time?? Could really be because she's just itchy.
If you've changed your shampoo 3 times, she might be allergic to something else. Calm down and think.. could be her bedding??? Something in her food?? If it worries you that much, you could probably go get a second opinion..
Your puppy's skin may be very dry and dry skin will cause itchyness. How much shampoo you use for each bathing session and how often your bath your puppy ? Try to reduce shampooing your puppy for the time being.
Thanks for the pointers. I bathe my puppy once a week and will reduce the frequency. Also, she does not have obvious rashes, just some mild spots which are not noticeable. Will monitor from now.
