Hi, I'm Catheryn, a new parent to a lovely Maltese fur baby... totally lovable and extremely adorable, except when she chomps on my toes in the morning... She's in the teething period.
Unfortunately, I've only gotten her for 3 weeks before I had to leave for Seattle for 3 weeks. I'm in Seattle now, posting the latest picture I've gotten of her, taken 2 days ago. Am looking forward to seeing my baby when I fly home this weekend.
I hope you can all share your doggy experiences with me. ... Truly appreciate it...
Also, I'd love any info on dog-friendly places in PJ and KL. Will be checking out those forums...

For info on dog-friendly places, you could check out the "Dog-Friendly Places" section and you could also try your luck at your local mamak/chinese restaurants

Thanks for the compliment. I'm from PJ... I got Chloe from a petstore in SS2, PJ for slightly less than $2K.
This was after a very long wait to find a Maltese... I got in touch with a MKA inspector to look for a Maltese from breeders... no joy. So, when I found a female Maltese, I didn't hesitate ..
I hope to meet you and the rest at the Bandar Utama gathering in January.

Maltese have very nice silky hair.....My wife had one which lived for 19 years ! The current dog we re having now already 8 years old.......but he still have the baby face !

Thanks for the note... I'll definitely make it a point to be there... My Chloe would've gotten all her puppy jabs by then, so yes... that's one event I won't miss.
I love your American Cockers... they're so cute!! They were one of my options when I was deciding on a dog... I ended up with a Maltese in the end.

Thanks for the compliments... Yes, Chloe's a real cutie pie. And, I do miss her heaps... that's why I keep bugging my friend to send me pics of her while I'm away.
I get updates every day on what funny antics she's been up to. 5 more days and I'm on a plane back to KL! Yay!!

My colleague in Seattle has a Golden Retriever too which was transported from Malaysia about 6 months ago. His name is Gandalf - 2 years old and as playful as a puppy...

Yup... 5 days is not that far away... it was painful when I had to leave her for 3 weeks, especially when I'd just gotten her for barely 3 weeks. I'm crossing off the days in my calendar.
Cute and naughty... that's always the combination. Who can get mad at them when they're so adorable! I'm glad your pooch does tricks for you... When I left, I only got Chloe to master the commands for "Sit" and "Down". She was only 10 weeks old then when I left for Seattle. She picked up potty training in 3 days from the time I brought her home... clever girl!
Hopefully my friend would've taught her some new tricks. She's such a greedy munchkin, she'll "Sit" on command for a treat!

Nice to meet you here! I own a toy poodle - cherry, english cocker spaniel - gigi and a labrador - Belle.
Would love to share the doggies things with you in the future. I had a very touching story with my Gigi and you can view it from the forum : me and my dog - Gigi, My English Cocker Spaniel.
Doggies are not just a pet but they are our friend and doctor as well.
I guess maltest needs a lot of grooming just same as my little toy poodle

Yes, I ought to be able to make it to the Jan K9 gathering. Bandar Utama Park is only about 10 mins from my place.
I'm really looking forward to it. I've forwarded the site info and invitation to my neighbour, and she's bringing her doggie and so are her friends. The more the merrier!!!
