Do yuor dog sleep with you on the bed?

Do your doggie(s) sleep with you on your bed? Mine has its own sleeping bed but will jump on the bed in the middle of the nite.
Maybe its cold or just wanna feel safe.

my dogs also jump up to my bed...end up they sleep in the whole bed but i sleep cramping like a sardine at the side of the bed.

imagine a lab n pom on my bed...even king size also not enough space Unsure

Ladee brings her toys....lotsa them coz I spoil her with them...and rawhide too...she thinks it is supposed to be her bed too.... when she sleeps, she'll put her head on my extra pillow....wakes up the same tima as I do and go to bed same time ...If I get up late during weekends, she'll do the same....sometimes I wonder if she actually thinks she's a humane... Crazy

Hi..hi..we actually had the same thinking like you..our silky terrier, Hazel is very close to one of our sis and sleep with her on the bed..always following her and plays with her..and most amazingly, Hazel seems to know how to communicate to us, thru her actions and lil barks.. Wink

She'll move a little closer... Until next morning, I'll be half off the bed and she'll be right next to me and there'll be a huge empty space behind her. Crazy

Oh yes... my 2 shih tzus sleeps with us since they were babies. Now they are 2 yrs old and have their own bed still they jumped over to squeeeeze with us.

Once alarm strike 11pm they will straight go upstairs and waited for us at the room door. once I got the door open.... hmmm they'll jumped directly to our pillow & sleep... and jus imagine... like human... so adorable.... rock will put his head on my pillow and goodnite he'll start to snore!!!! they aspect me to sleep on their bed... luckily we got 2 queen size bed... Angelic

As morning comes... aiyo... lick u wet-wet and ask u to wake up... if comes on weekend wanted to sleep slightly later pun tak boleh.... hv to follow instruction Unsure

no matter what its nice to have them around... 2 to cheeeeer u up all day & nite...

well it's weird...when i squash my lab, she'll move down n sleep on the floor.

as for the pom....he tak malu, sometimes my legs end up on his head or body n his butt'll end up near my face...luckily it's not smelly cos he likes to sleep near my face....

Yup....Ladee does that too... but luckily she has the sense to curl up usually on the pillow or above my head to avoid being squash...
When I first got her home she could not be left to sleep alone coz first time away from mommy...but she was so so tiny (400 grams!) I had to put her in my laundry basket and out the basket on my bed....i was so afraid that I squish her in my sleep every time she moves....slept like that for a week before she actually felt safe to sleep in her bed for half the nite.... Laugh

and then I had to wake up with every sudden movement....lukily she is bigger now and know how to avoid danger.. Crazy

my pom used to sleep in the cage when he was a pup, he'll sleep n play in the cage even if he's allowed to go out....but now he know that sleeping in the bed is more comfartable. the moment i started to shut my door, he'll quickly come in. worse is that sharp at 7.30 he'll wake me up to go to coll n even during the weekends as he need to piss Laugh

i just wish that i could sleep with my kinki, but my mum always complaint about the dog's fur. so kinki is not even allow to enter the living room.

but sometimes, i'll bring her in illegally when my parents and grandparents are not around. haha....

. finally they give in. truth is that u have to often change ur bedsheet...weekly n vacumm once or twice weekly.......

Your Kinki looks just like my Dad's dog...Patty...its a mongrel too and its very protective of my dad...she is not a very friendly dogs even to me and my other sibling and other dogs...the shih tzu in the pis...she always beats him up....last week it bit my brother nad punctured his lips...yet my Dad is keeping her coz says he'll not find another dog as loyal as Patty..

erm.... maybe kinki is still a pup, so she is quite friendly towards everyone. but no one can handle her except me. coz she's very rough and tends to bite when you force or drag her.
kinki also like to bully the terrier and tends to use her paw to pat the terrier head. its so cute.

actually my parents don't even want me to have a dog, coz i'm allergi to their fur. but i just simply love them.

oh, never mind. i've already found a suitable vet for kinki. the doctor is very friendly and helpful. when i brought kinki to him for the first time, the doctor keep on massaging and talking her before he gave the vaccine. is that what every doctor did?

erm... talk about running, kinki seems to be very clumsy. everytime when she wants to chase for the ball or cats, she'll usually fall down when something block her way (small drain, stone, hole or rope) looks so clumsy.
don't know whether because she's too fat or because she's still young and cannot balance herself properly,

How old is your KInKi? She dun look fat to me at all in the pic you posted. Actually I thought she looks just nice. My dad's dog, Patty is very active and she is a but two years now... she can catch ball in mid air and is very playful but that is only with my dad.
Ladee my Poodle is learning fast and is getting better each day at fetching and catching her toys that we toss...I train her to jump the hulla hoop and over the pole too....she loves to entertain and the praises she gets when she does thev trick well...

u r a christian/catholic? me too...i have dogs since i was very young

. back then we had a few mongrels to help my dad care of the orchard. i grew up with dogs, still have the pics when i was holding a dog when i was 3-4.

nope, ur vet is doing something extra but some vets do, just to calm ur dog.... Smile

coz the pic was took 2 months ago (now she is 6 months old). ya.. i taught kinki to jump over the hoop too, but if i lift the hoop higher than her nose level, she'll fell down clumsily. and when i throw the ball for her to fetch, she'll run and knock her backside on the wall. she can also catch the frisbee, but not in the air, just manage to caught it before it reach the floor. (maybe to fat, cannot jump up) haha....

i use to go to sunday school when i'm a kid with my neighbours. but later becoz of transportation problem, i quit when i reach secondary school age. now i did not pray to anything. but my daddy is buddhist.

i house own before several dogs. when i'm 2 years old, there is a GSD. then 4 years old, a rottweiler. 7 years old a mongrel. then 10 years old, 3 chihuahua. 14 years old, current miniature fox terrier. and now 18 years old, kinki.

those dogs were put at my house by my relatives. they all treat my house as a shelter, i think. put and take away, put and take away. (and they usually put for more than a year) everytime waste my tears for crying when they took away those doggie.

Patty does not get along very well with ohter dogs and hence I do not let my Ladee go near her... there was once that when I brought Ladee back to my dad's house Patty nearly bit her... Patty usually snaps at other dogs... Ladee on the other hand is very friendly and like any company sha can get... I think I didn't mention earlier that I live on my own... the shih tzu in the pic always had to endure the horrible bashing from Patty once in awhile when he was alive....

Yes I am living with friends...and have my dog with me... I know where is Tanjung Bungah used to live there when I was young... like 7 I think... the house there used to belong to my grandad but has been sold when he pass away... I really like the place ... up high like on the hills and near the sea side... maybe come visit you during holidays... can I bring Ladee?

Well, since Susie is still young and small, I don't think it's all that safe for her to be in bed with us. I know I won't squish her since I'm a light sleeper but my hubby is pretty dead to the world when he's sleeping and might roll on her. She's currently crated in the kitchen right next to our room. I do let her have the full run of our puppy-proofed kitchen and she goes in / out of her crate whenever she feels like it. I think this arrangement is best for now since I can't fully pup-proof the whole apartment and wouldn't want her chewing on stuff whilst we're sleeping. I do let her up on our furniture though but only in her doggy bed and only when I'm there to supervise. Wouldn't want her falling and tripping over things.

so how old is susie?...when I first got Ladee it was difficult too she didn't wanna sleep alone and had to put her in a basket then on the bed ...she feels better being near me...your susie must be really good...

Susie's 3 mths ++ and she's a maltese, so she's little :o) I just brought her home last Thursday and hubby and I are completely nuts over her. I did read and research quite a bit before getting her and most training books say not to let your doggy sleep in bed with you, especially when its young. I'm probably not going to stick to this rule Tongue

For now though, she's still small and for her safety sake, best not to let her up on furniture unsupervised.

yeah ..I agree about the getting on furniture unsupervised... when ladee first came home, we had to be really careful of her and with her... she only weigh 480grams then... once a friend came to my house and carried her... she had a nasty fall coz she tried to wiggle free from my friend hand... so try not to let strangers handle susie too, she might not be comfortable with ppl she is not used to ... when Ladee had the fall I had sleepless nite far almost a week coz was so afraid that something might be wrong with her as the result of the fall... then there was the time she fell down a flight af stairs... I almost died watching her fall... she was getting down stairs like she normally do every day but some how loss control and took a nasty tumble down.... she cried so loud I thought she broke something...but she was okay as soon as I picked her up... but better be safe then sorry...Ladee was lucky for the times she had fallen...I pray that it will not happen again....now that she is bigger I can be a little relax Unsure

Maybe... not too sure yet... holidays but have no definate plans... wanna go an a holiday but my bf is having his final term exames... so got to wait till he finishes b4 I know for sure if I am planning any trips... will let you know if I am comming down to penang... HAppy Thanks Giving...(27NOv)

Well I am working already and he is in his final year or rather months... young Hmmmmm... going into the working world... what do you think?... the only thing we enjoy about it now is the freedom it gives us...to buy all the dogs we want... Cool

and we can afford to feed them too Cool

last time she was ...when she was puppy but now no more but she sleep in my room too

but sometimes she pretend like dunno what happen and jump up on my bed heheeh actually she likes sleeping with me on my be but i dun wan coz she's smelly heehh

My Ladee still sleeps with me on the bed... very manja and will not sleep in her own crate I made for her... put pillow and cushion to be like human baed also she dun like... I tried to stop her but failed... she sleeps on the bed on my pillow like human... Tongue

My Sushi sleep on my bed? Oh No........or put it this way...I'm the one who sleep on her bed...hehehehe...

She was sleeping with me when I first bought her...from that night onwards..she never wanna sleep alone...

Once I went to Cameron and she is with my maid at home...my maid actually acompany her n sleep in my room coz Sushi doesn;t wanna sleep in her room. So u know..that's consider Sushi's bed and Sushi's room now...hehehe...poor me..

Understand how u feel... same here for me... cannot leave Ladee on her own too... was in Penang once for a 2 day trip... she flip... did not sleep, did not eat!!! but I told myself, she has to learn to be a lil' flexible or not, I'll never get to go anywhere... so I am going away again this December... not too long and I hope she survive Wink

My Pipi would sleep with me a while every night and then will hop to her own bed ... next to my bed . Her bed is directly under the air con. At 6.00am she will come down and watched those "early birds" I mean aunties,uncles who does jogging. Besides this she will jump up and rushed down the stairs if there is any slightest noise downstairs.

At 7.00am sharp she will wake me with her paws. She will lick my legs if I ever hesitate to get up.

My Brownie now does not know how to enjoy such priviledge. When I adopted him, he was the under-priviledged dog..(always chained by former owner) but now at least he has the freedom to trot up and down the whole house. He has not gone upstairs at all. The last few days he had viral attack twice and I had to bring my mattress down to sleep with him.

I still miss my furbabe PIPI...especially at night when I had to crawl to bed. I close my eyes and think of the lovely times with her....

I remember reading your beautiful story about how you adopted Kinki in Pet world magazine.. She is beautiful.

My article appeared in pet world too. One in March-April issue about my delightfulness & joy to adopt PIPI my furbabe.

Then another article appeared again in Sept-Oct Pet world issue and this was the very very heart-broken & grief story of my departure of PIPI to rainbow bridge.

Send my hugs and love to Kinki. She is so blessed to have your love.

i remember that. i also read your heart warming article.

i really get a lesson from what had happen to pipi.

that i'll never let kinki off leash when she's out for walk.
