Is your dog overweight?

Hi everyone,

To find out if your dog is overweight, try this simple test. First, place your thumb squarely in the middle of your dog back and allow your fingers to feel the ribs.

1) If the ribs are easily to felt with a slight layer of muscle and fat in between, your dog is probably at the correct weight.

2) If the ribs are difficult to feel with a thick layer of fat in between, your dog maybe overweight.

3) If the ribs cannot be felt and are covered by thick layer of fat, your dog is probably obese.

Dogs store their fat in their chest, back and abdomen.

I get this information from ones of the pet food advertisement in our local pet magazine....I hope this will be useful to some of us.Smile

I won't angry if you give my toys to others dog,

I will be happy if other dogs can enjoy your love as me."

My Tigger always in his ideal weight until today I try to touch his ribs.... Hahaha... He is fat now... Tongue We thought that he will never get fat as he is a very very very hyperactive dog....Unsure... Now we have to watch his weight cos he cannot afford to gain too much due to his weak hind legs...Unsure
