Question on pee/poo

i have a couple of questions :
my house is a double storey house..am i suppose to train him to pee/poo at only one spot? or one spot upstairs and downstairs respectively? will this confuse him? because in the morning he will be at downstairs and at night upstairs because he sleeps with me..
and one more thing...everytime after pee/poo do i need to use anything special to clean her private part? or just water?
