I'm posting from sibu and i've just witnessed a black dog being abandoned by its owner. the dog is being tied with a rope on its neck to the house pillar. i do not know whom to report this abuse to as i think the local council will not do anything anyway. i've just written to the Sarawak SSPCA (based in kuching) and am still waitin for their reply. hope they will reply within the next few days and come up with some ways to help save this poor dog. anyone has any ideas what i can do? i brought a bowl of food and water for the dog today. anyone familiar with the local laws regarding animal abuse or abandoning pets etc? the owner of this dog should be punished - penalised with a heavy fine - even jail for 1 week would be better than just being let off the responsibility of a pet owner. sickens to see how some people can be so cruel!!! the dog is so innocent!!
