Are we going for the jungle trail this time? Anyone who has been through the trail please do comment the condition. We tried it for a short distance and it seems quite exciting. It also seems like all the way up and rather narrow too.
Yah we found our way back thanks for your help! hahahaha that was one exciting walk....it took us about 2 hrs frm the time we went into the jungle trail until we reached the gate....didn't expect it to be such a long walk...first timer who joined us like Min Yang, don't be scared off by the experience yah .....i must say it was a thrilling experience...we got our shoes in the mud, went thru a narrow path full of 'lalang', saw horses and also encountered a snake! LOL....the only person who was worried was Kang Ser coz he was pressed for time to get back to work
So Khoo....now that we know the way, wanna hv another go? kakakakakaa
hehehe... dun know how you did it! went in with Trio once, and my coach who came along with me with her stallion got so freaked out coz the trail just went on for ages and everytime we saw a clearing, when we got there, it wasnt the exit, it was just more jungle. And on horseback we couldnt turn around coz it was really steep.
Anyway, very impressed you all got out fine. Did anyone have to carry their dog? hehe...
WE CAME, WE SAW AND WE CONQUER!!!. Hehehe...what a interesting walk that includes challenging narrow path, a tour of the equestrian park, encounter with snake and not to mention some anxieties along the way. Anyway, glad everyone made it through and nice meeting the new members. Hope that Kangser made it on time for his F1 marshall duty .
wah wkser is marshall tomorrow? cool! whos going for the F1 tomorrow? Really wanted to go for ob training (hoping they have agility too) but my hubby wants to go watch F1 so thought I'd better do some of his stuff with him if I want him to come with me to dog events
It was definitely a nice try. When we cross the hill we saw the green dome on hill top and we thought that will not be good if we will have to land at the science centre. True enough, we landed there with the Equestrian Club in front of us. We met your young friend there and finally saw you and with your help, we managed to get it back to the gate.
While trying to get you, we managed to get the help of Arthur and CD Moo to get your contact number.
What a crazy morning we all had ! We started ffrom Taman Tun, and ended up the side of the hill at National Science Centre. To jungle trek is OK, but to do it with our furkids was a totally different story. Bodhi saw a whole new world today, and she was absolutely fascinated by the strange jungle scent. She was knocked out when we reached home and slept most of the afternoon...err, so did I . Thanks Jennifer, for showing us the way .
By the way Khoo, since we were the "guinea pigs" today, you might want to give us a t-shirt with the words "I CONQUERED BUKIT KIARA.....WITH MY FURKID" HeeheeHee, just kidding.
Me found out about your brave trek thru the jungle from white man whispering wire (email). Am mighty glad all made it thru safe n sound despite encounter with snake and hilly terrain. Managed to get "Run with Horses" (Jennifer) smoke signal (handphone number) to WebMaster Khoo. The great spirit musta guided your recce party to meet up with rescue pack lead by Run with Horses.
Sounds like you guys had fun! Do it again sometime?
I had a really wonderful time this morning. I really did enjoy it ... except I didn't expect us to go for such a loooooooooong walk and at times, it feels like we will never get out from the trail... It was sooo much fun and I dont mind doing it again sometime soon (not 2 hrs again lar). It was really a memorable day meeting all the doggy member, hiking up the trail, being lost, being "guided" by some cyclist, seeing horsey around, viewing the science centre from the hill, visiting Jennifer, meeting up some green snakes... I guess it was the most adventurous time for me a long time. Gina, thank you for taking us there ! and to the others, it was nice meeting with everyone....
yup we definitely need the mossy repellant.... I thought we did went to mont kiara... we just left without visiting starbucks. halfway thru, I was really wishing for a cuppa mocha frap or ice cold coca-cola
Looks like your first walk-walk turned out to be quite an adventure! I see that you are a fellow coffee kaki. Make sure you or Gina call me along for any Starbuck outings..I'm addicted to their frappucino!
Fortunately no leeches ....Biscuit loved it...but guess he's used to the jungle scene coz used to take him in Pg a lot of times....hey heard two of your babies had diarrhea yesterday? How are they now, feeling better? What happened? Hope they're ok by now
hehehehhhheee... yeah you know when you share your coffee with yoru furkids and they leave this fur in... hehe. My mum's dog Jupey drinks coffee from her cup every morning. Here in our house, we try to be a bit more disciplined!
hehehe... yeah, actually, trying not to get her hooked onto coffee...
my mum's dog will bark and bark in the morning until he is given his coffee... so they give him coffee in his big dog bowl, then he'll drink his and then come paw my mum until she lets him drink from her cup as well, after she's finished with it!
Coffee wasn't Jupey intention, it's all about to SHARE his owner's stuffs! Mack loves to drink beer. when we had party, he'll asked for the beer coz he enjoys the gas-bubbles. when he took the beer, can see his face so satisfy and enjoy it so much!
hahaha... mack sounds like jupey. Jupey also drinks wine, he lurrrrves red wine. And champagne. And guinness stout. When he was a pup, everyone fed him so much alcohol poor dog im surprised he's not an alchy!
Wah!!!! Coffee and alcohol for the dog???!!! I'm a coffee lover myself but can't imagine letting Caldrone drink. Maybe I should try and see the side effect. Hopefully he does not get all hyper. Yah..we should stop over at Starbuck the next time round.
It was only muddy on a small portion when we decended from hill top. All who went with shoes were doing fine except Kang Ser who did not think that we were serious enough to try the jungle trek came with slippers and as a result, he fell down several times
As for GINA, she kept a lot of mosquito there happy.
hi everyone, is was really fun but to bad i have to rush back to work.......yeah we should to conquered that track again soon...this time for sure i will put on my trek shoes.......so our next kiara walk walk with turn in kiara jungle trekking or maybe we can have barbeque in the jungle remember the check point we saw those biker in the trek ....hehehehe
For photography enthusiasts, there is a breathtaking view of KL at the top of the hill (after trekking for abt 40 mins or thereabouts???). When we got there, we could see the morning mist hovering over KL. It was beautiful. Too bad I didn't bring my camera. Unfortunately, that spot is surrounded by waist-high lalangs. So, didn't dare to hang around too long.....in case got snakes-leh !
Thks for asking on my furkids..Both Pepper and Lee Ron have recovered from their tummy upset as of this evening.. Lee Ron is back to his naughty self again! Was rather quiet the last few days..A word of advice..Never introduce too many new things to the furkid's diet at the same time..
I gave them their usual dinner, deworming tablets, liver treats and a big lamb bone all in one night! After that, this happened.. Now I don't know what triggered the diarrhea...???
Yah Kang Ser had the dirtiest shirt and legs that day haaahaaa...but nvm mud is suppose to be good for skin, make them nice and soft ....Kang Ser, next round you wear walking shoes i will wear long pants....the mosquitoes were way too happy that morning
They were working on the ends of the bone..havent gone down to the marrow portion yet..Anyway, I have temporily stopped all these goodies till they have recovered completely. After that, might try an experiment to see what triggerred this bout of diarrhea.. thks for the tip though! Something to be aware of..
Rdgs arthur.. PS..How's the mosquitoes bites? I gather from the postings that you were a walking feast for them mosquitoes!
Glad to hear your furkids are ok again. Once all of us got tummy upsets together, luckey brinkley chris and myself! we decided itwas the water, so we installed a filter system for our water supply. Another time luckey ate her entire chew bone (after she had made it really soft.) She swallowed the whole thing then threw up up again, the bone was like as long as one of her legs!
How've u been? Must be busy huh....not to worry...we'll hv more walk walk lined up soon....probably after the 'cheng beng' period which i hear is this and next weekend....hope to see u in the next walk
Gina, looks like you did some charity work by "derma-ing" darah to Persatuan Nyamuklah..hey, u guys took a different trail this time ah...sounds fun albeit a little uncomfy..yeah, I think long pants will do you good. Nyamuksss also always chase me taher than other people whenever I go places that's full of 'em...heh..heh.. Mommy to Harvey Milkbone
Really? They like to chase me too among other ppl everytime....hhmmm maybe the next time u shd come with us so maybe they'll leave me alone this time and perhaps chase after u hahahahahaha just kidding yah....
Oh...never mind..never mind..I'm very "kind" & "generous" punye...more than willing to share 1/2 of the nyamuk population with you..heh..heh...How did Biscuit do that day? I suppose he was all worn out at the end of it and slept like a baby in the afternoon? Mommy to Harvey Milkbone
