St Bernard Group
Hi anyone has experience in taking care of St Bernard?

I have been keeping a St Bernard pup for the past 3 month ..the dog is about 5month old now.

I would like to exchange idea on how to properly train or how to really take care of this big dog.

I live in Kota Kemuning (incase anyone has a St Bernard at the same place)

i have a friend, who also a member of puppy.com , that owns 2 st bernards.....

look for jennifer6636... she loves st bernards.... i forgot where she stay, but i think she stays near klang...

Hi...

Jennifer stays in Jenjarom, 30 minutes drives from Klang. She'll be coming to the K9 Day this Sunday at Bandar Utama. Besides Saints, she also owned Dalmation, Chow Chow & Bull Mastiff.

ahahaha.... you also know her..... i very jealous of her... she got chow chow, dalmation and st bernards, and now her daughter looking for small breed.... i am planning to visit her... to see her lovely doggies, especially chow chow, to hug ....

Yeah...I always wanted to visit her but so hard to find the right time Frown. Now I think she has 10 doggies laaa....really wanted to c how she can managed the dogs. Me 1 Chow oso beh tahan edi....so much work especially on grooming.

Yalor......but last time one of my friend lagi "keng". He had 10 dogs and 7 of it was Chow Chows . I really "pui fok" him cos all his dogs are neatly groomed and well taken care of . That's what I call a dedicated dog lover .

Nowadays hardly c u online. Must be busy with your dogs laa Tongue. How's Baby? Got good news or not? This Sunday what time you'll be at Bandar Utama? I can't reach there early, can only come after 11am Frown.....so no door gift for me laa . Hope to c u when I arrive lor.

hai teo, u can go to the johor kempas *evershine kennel* to get a st.bernard. i bought my st.bernard at there. the parent fo the st.bernard is imported autralia, father is the grand champion.

I always admire giant breeds, and still doing research on certain breeds...may I know are your St Bernards quite healthy? especially the leg, any sign of HD? Have they got guarding instinct? TQ.

Hi Everyone of you,

My name is Yot and I live in Thailand. I found this site last two weeks and found that's very interested to me. We don't really have the site like this for exchange experience in Thailand. I have six St.Bernard in the house and four English Mastiff. I would love to share my experience with everyone.

Also attach picture of my dogs, the first one His name is Opdyke's New Yorker or nick name is Boss.

He is from the USA and now he about turning to 7 Years old. On the left of the pic there are three with white face marking, Jo, Willy and Danny.

Hi Klchan,

My name is yot and I would like to share my experience in keeping St.bernard with you. Please correct me if I am wrong. St.bernard is in working group but they cann't have too much excercise as their memeber specially when they'r young. I normally grow my puppy with normal dog food and feed them aroung 4 cups three times a day until they are 4 months old. Then I feed them 2 times until 9 months old. From now on I cut down the feeding to one time a day. I never force my pups to do excercise but it's not mean that no excercise at all as some dog are very lazy so they just sleep all day long. They are more lazy specailly in Thailand where is very hot. I let them playing around the house in the morning and walk them every evening outside to let them know people more. The reason that I don't do much excercise to puppy as their joint are not strong enough and they cann't support too much excercise. Also if you feed your pup a lot, it will cause of the lacking leg as the joint also have to carry the body weight. So feed them less until they are 2 years so you can increase his weight. St. Bernard look big because of their hair as well not only their weight.

hi jennifer,i just start to feed dog in august,im now feeding a golden retriever,but my dream dog is st. bernard,im crazy for it,i start love dog becos of st.bernard, and i know u hv st.bernard and chowchow, actually, i love st.bernard and my sister and GF love chow chow also.may i know how much u bought thre 1st st.bernard?u bought the female puppy 1st?im admire ur family now la....got so many my dream dogs....u must be very xin ku 1.....r u working?or ur full time job is take care of all those doggies?hehehe...

i went to SPCA today, this is the 1st time i go there...actually i was going to see the st.bernard(in the picture)which at there...but he already adopted by someone...luckly the st.bernard had been adopted finally...god bless him...but there is still many dogs for adoption...god bless them also...

Im a st bernard lover n hope to know more abt this breed! How much they eat normally and wat u feed them? One of the petshop owner told me they eat at least 30kg per mth! is this true? and how abt their health? hard 2 maintain? thanks!!

hi hi,... everyone... i m alvin, i feeding a GR ,he is 9months old now. actually i m st.bernard super super super fans, i love st.bernard very much. actually i wan to buy st.bernard b4 i buy GR, i alrd pay the deposit for the st.bernard to the pets shop, then i go home show my mom a picture of which fully grew up st.bernard, to let her know i going to bring tis breed of dog home......... she said : oh ! no ! is too big !!! pls don buy tis dog.. son.. i scare.... the size like tiger. So in the end i bring GR home. nowdays i see ppl who feeding a st.bernard..... i really regret why i show the picture to my mom last time, should don care everything just bring him home bcos st.bernard is really cute.......
