RD,
Collars are only on when u needed it to be on otherwise it should be off. The only exception is when we want to get the dog to get used to a correction collar for some time before the actual adminitering of correction so that he will not associate the collar to being corrected. However, I do not ask anyone to do any correction before motivationally train any dog until the dog fully understood a cue word.
Choke chain should not be put on unguarded as accidents can happen in many unthinkable ways.

HI
I put on the collar for Ladee when I am grooming her...it is sort of a drill to let her know to be good...and when I bring her out...it works for her as she interprets the collar as a time to be at her best behavior...at other times, she is free and off collar...she actually hates the collar and can't leave it on for a long time in her... otherwise she'll walk funny....

kinki loves her collar so much that she can't leave it behind her.
when i bring her back from walk, she will not let me to take off the collar.
and when is time to take a bath, i face great problem to get the collar off. after i manage to get it off her neck, she'll hold the collar using her mouth during the whole bathing process.
really cannot separate kinki from her beloved collar.

I only put collar on if I need to take him for a walk as kaisu of the dog getting rash or the coat/fur growth non uniform but may be harder for lead training as not use to having leash around his neck. ...ym

hi,
for my lab the collar will be on when she's going out while for teddy it's on 24 hours a day coz he loves his collars...i only remove it when he's bathing. it has become his ID tag...he'' go mad without his collar so i'll change his collar every week.....i love the bell...better to know where is he
well, to be honest, it has not damaged his fur in any ways.....it's still as fluffl even around the neck as long as the collar is not too tight

Collar always on Bean Boy since day one so to let him get USED TO the collar on his neck, and also i could hear the "long-long......"
Will only put collar on when I walk him out. But He and Max both love collars, especially when i put the leather collar, the choke chain, and the anti-ticks collar on them at the same time... they will show me their happy faces and go for a "parade"~ They know what "leng chai" means and the like the "cling-clong" sounds.... PARADE to show the neighboring dogs

I always put a plastic bag on Mack's head.... cut a hole tru the bag so his nose can sniff out and tie the bag around his neck..... then say~"Leng chai orh~!!!" he will stop scratching the bag but show me a PROUD face and parade with the bag around the house.... he thinks himself really leng-chai~

*LOL*....
He just looked like those thief in Japanese comics~ don't have any snap-shot of the plastic-bag-make-over, but have some with his muzzle on top and tied on his neck~ looks cool too... coz he really liked the out-fit! Especially if the "spectators" call him leng-chai~
muahahahhahahha.....you are getting me in stitches...hahahahahhahaha....
is sooooo cute lah....hahahaha....some more knows to poise for 'chik chak' loh....hahahhahha.....you must take some shots of him being 'leng chai' in plastic over nose lah....ahhahahah....
When everyone has having fun with the plastic bag boy, who's going to hold the camera and hit the button? erm.... hope i'm not giving out a "too cute" impression of to ya all...... he's still a notti agressive boy which really make me sick, he just cant get along well with the male dogs...
Max is my another old dog..... 12 yr old, pitbull X mastiff.

Kakaka...
Last night I got this bandanna for my puppy and put it on her for size.. Then, I said "leng leng".... .... But then, she was busy trying to bite it off!!
It is still a little bit big for her... Looks like superman cape instead of a bandanna!!!

take a piece of food or a toy...put it in front of her...You know a dog "targets" the food/prey before "pouncing" on it? You can snap one then ,-._,-. \/)"(\/ (_o_)

hi,
actually if the bandana is big enough it looks great on large breed dogs too however my lab does not really like bamndanes but loves her t shit on her. she has a red and a pink t-shirt but she look best in her red shirt.
actually i think red looks good in whatever coloured dog coz the colour stands out clearer..

As for Tau Tau, the collar is always on
and as for Baby, only put on his collar when he comes out from his crate...i'm afraid the collar might choke him in his crate.....then he will hate the crate and collar...hehehe

hi reality dreamer...sad to say i put on the colar all day long to my golden. this is because i got to leash him at home while i am away to work..on the other hand, the colar is meant for an "alert kit" as i put on the dog tag and wherever my golden goes, then a "ring ring" sounds on... the colar on be off when that's a bathing time.
