Yes u should bring ur digi cam and scare them off!Hehe darling i have alot alot alooooot of scars on my hands and some on legs thanks to those wonderful loving dogs n cats at the spca.Today i got three from the same dog,Dober!! But i'm fine cos i love him too much :) Happy and sad that he's adopted.Sad bcos can't see him anymore once the owner comes collect.Happy because he's found a good home.

Regarding the previous succesful event the AKC RDO Day i offered to help so it was no big deal.Besides it was something that i don't mind doing so no appreciation needed. Wink Too bad that i can't help them this time though as i have to work.But i'll be doing the outreach program for them.Like beinga speaker for spca and all ithink. Hehe thanks !! Seems like i'm getting a vip treatment hehe just kidding.Btw, will there be any booths that will be selling products like heartworm tablets and all ?

Initially I didn't want to put my name as ranger coz I couldn't confirm whether I'll be there in the afternoon. But all my plans have been sorted out, so, I'm free the whole day this Sunday and thus put in my name. This is also a good chance for me to meet all the members since it's my first K9 Day outing. And yes, I'll bring my digi cam too! To catch irresponsible owners red handed..hehehehehe....and as mentioned...post it at puppy.com for all to see....muaahahahahaha

Scar galore at SPCA? LaughLaugh Can't have enough of it eh? Laugh Anyway, be extra careful. Scratches and bites (no matter how small), can lead to bad infections (touch wood!). Not scaring you but just be really careful! Wink

The Police K9 Unit will come with 4 dogs, 2 narcotic dogs and 2 crime dogs and will perform the following demonstrations :-
  • Crowd Control - The K9 Unit will show all of you how they will use their crime dogs to control the crowd. In this area, they need six volunteers who will act as trouble makers. We shall see how those shepherd dogs will be used to contain these group of "Trouble Makers"
  • Agility - The K9 Unit will also be coming with their hurdles and perform some agility demonstration.
  • Tracking Narcotics - Tracking narcotics with their 2 narcotics dogs will also be the highlight of the day. I was told that these dogs are so good that they are to indicate all type of drugs, estacy and even panadol.
  • Obedience - As usual, the obedience demonstration of the K9 unit will be part of the performance that will be carried out on that section.


The Police Dogs are expected to perform a few more domonstration and will depend of the availability of time and equipment.

Just in case if anyone of you is coming with Motor Bike, please let us know and we also need to use two Motor Bikes for one very interesting demonstration. We shall see whether we can get hold of two bikes on that day to proceed with this good show.

haha..don worry mate. I have tetanus shots. took them almost a month back..it can last up till 1 year..i'm getting tetanus shots each year sicne i volunteer and i always deal with fierce and scary dogs.
