sorry...but juz got slightly irritated about this issue....have a friend..she buys all those Gucci keychains n hang it on the dog's leash but guess what....the dog is an object for her to show off....she'll carry them to cafes n hit the dog in front of us when ever it barks....so it reminds me of her.
yup, sensible is the word.....i believe that the best thing u can give your dog is not materially but tender love n care. i would not deny that some materials r essential but it's way too much.....imagine if ppl would want to steal ur dog's Gucci collar, what u'ld happen to your doggies? they might even take them along....then it'll be the cause of them being kidnapped sigh

i believe that the money can do so much for the needies...especially dogs n the shelter n those who have to scrap thru to find their 2 meals..even human begging for food

aiyooooh, why lar got ppl like THAT one ? have dogs only to show off only ar ? so vain ! damn I really hate ppl like that.
I mean buying RM 100 for a good pair of scissors for the furkid coz u need to use it then its ok lar... coz its sensible mar... but if jsut for the sake of showing off n buy RM 500 pair of booties for the furkid to wear just to show like that a bit too much lor. Treat it like a TOY only !!! poor doggie....

yeah... like some of them is even full time vegetarian and there is lots of those dog lovers who is really into the welfare of dogs in US like Alicia Silverstone if I remember correctly.

Actually there are a number of celebrities who adopt from their local rescues. Drew Barrymore, Alicia Silverstone, Shannon Doherty and Brad Pitt (if I'm not mistaken) do. And I'm sure their pets are having a really good life I sincerely wished I have a landed property to adopt a dog or two but I've been turned down by PAWS and SPCA due to the fact that hubby and I are apt dwellers. My two family dogs back in Pg. are both rescues. One's a mutt (who's been with us for 12 yrs) and the other is a black labrador (still puppy but huge!). Come see what I'm up to at susie*ville!

well... treat them like accessories as long as love them then shd be ok lor... I can't imagine a person who treats them TOTALLY like an accessories without love.

actually not uncommonlah...ppl who like to parade their dogs in cafes, sitting hours n smoking there don't even care about their doggies
now it's a trend to have dogs...imagine some who don't even like them but just buy n show off coz my neighbour have one..then dog sick also dunno. many ppl especially youngsters r adopting this so called glamorous lifestyle sadly n those toybreeds r the victim
those ppl who always dress their doggies in branded clothes/apparels...have u seen the GUcci collar? it's so heavy, weight down by a piece of metal engraves "GUCCI". woder wheter the doggies ever feel comfartable

wow... 12 yrs old mutt ya bet he/she is happy being with u guys for so long. I sometimes wish to adopt more dogs too unfortunately my mum doesn't think in the same wavelength as me so no choice lor...gotto wait till next time when I got my own home

aiyah...dun lar say poor ! I guess ur just more realistic than somelor. I mean, I have seen some ppl who is every willing to pay few hundred bucks just to buy nice-nice clothes for them which they only wear about once a month during gathering or so.... others like us... tends to spend more on their daily stuff like treats, kibbles, supplement n etc.
