sigh, whether he could be retrained or not, ppl thinks that prevention is better than cure, u know.

wonder how did the owner feel about this. his fault also- should've been more careful.

did Le Roc run loose or something? anyone can recall the whole story?

i saw lots of stray dogs in old town, pj. there are some ppl holding sticks, prepared to hit those dogs that come near them. but i don't face any problem with those dogs, i tried once to call the dog 'doggie come here'. wanted to play with the cute dog, but he walk away ignoring me :(

i wonder why there are always report about ppl being attack by dogs. maybe becoz they looks 'yong sui'.

yea...i see that sometimes too.

I think they are worried of other dogs.

But honestly though, a stray wouldn't attack any other dog without a reason.

An injured dog in the "wild" would mean a dead dog.

Both parties would try to avoid the confrontation as much as possible.

Usually it's the house dogs who are accustomed to humans and are not afraid of them who might attack.

I have similar problems when I had my two dogs. Those 'barbarians' disturbed my dogs by throwing stones, rotten eggs and darts. Yes, darts!!

Once, my dad ran out and chased them after stalking them for hours in the shadows, and caught one of the barbarian by the collar. He gave the kid a good shake before letting him go.

I don't understand them. They don't like dogs but likes to annoy dogs. When my dogs bark, they say "Anjing bodoh". Hey, who's the stupid one? My dogs are FAR smarter than them.

Sometimes I really wish I could throw the stones back at them, those dang animals. Even my dogs are more well-behaved than them.

Luckily, my Abby is safe from these barbarians but I'm afraid right now. They're playing firecrackers now....

Re: [RealityDreamer] Cruelty against dogs/puppies [In reply to] Can't Post

Just got a call from my mum this morning while am at work. my neighbour's dog an Alsation was poison to death. My mum saw my neighbour burying it this morning. Apparently, was puking blood and all. So sad to hear that. Although some of my other neighbours had complained that he was a nuisance barking whole night and all...but it is no way to poison the fella! Am so worried, although my dogs are kept at home during the day, but at nite there are outside within my compound. I have a 14 year old mix spitz and 2 mths old lab...and just this morning i rescued a male Lab back home because i found that he was lost.

Damn those cruel people!!

OMG!!!! FrownFrown

That is really sad news.... Hmmm... I'm pretty worried as well as my pup is making a lot of noise now... I've got 1 neighbour who lives behind my house and is really fussy... Am afraid he might do something to the dog/dogs since the neighbours in front of his house all keep dogs....

*sigh*... Hope that nothing happens to your dogs... These people will get their retribution one day.... This is no way to treat God's creatures!!!!

so kind of you rescueing the lost dog. the those dogs fight?
actually is not advisable to let dogs free around the compound during night time.

for me, kinki is free in the garden and compound during day time and i'll lock him up in my large balcony duing night time. more safe.

my kinki also quite noisy. he'll bark once a while during night time, i think is becoz of stray cats in our garden. and maybe some toad around.

first of all, would like to say..good on you for taking in the lab Smile

Second of all..i can't believe those ppl!

You know, if it wasn't for your dog, the chances of your neighbours place being robbed would be much much higher. At least there's an alarm. !!!

I hv really nothing but pity for them for they do not know and will never know what a dog's love means.

Smilehi,

i had the same experience too...i live in a corner house, meaning that my dog have more space to be harmed. these stupid Malay guys just came over and threw stones and twigs into my house to hit my barking pom......i was really furious and i hid and watched them for a few times and once when they did that, my bro used a lastic to shoot the stones back at them n they screamed in pain. At least they know it's painful. what about my dogs?Mad

but now they dare not approach anymore coz everytime when my pom barks, the lab'll rush out n theyt'll be scared. of course, i'm scared that they'll poison my dogs but i only leave them out when we r in the garden...or else they'll be in the houseUnsure
