that's sad to hear Unsure

no doubt that he will still do that, but better ask him to go pee pee before bathing.

Just now he was very funny, I took out his conditioner spray can and let him smell. He took one sniff and ran away. Sly

He just doesn't like being spray on. Always have to get a strong person to hold him, in order to spray his coat after bath.

so nice that your GR loves water.

Yeah.. I can't think of why she's so scared of bathing.... i don't use cold water, and I try to avoid water going to her ears and nosise, and yet she will take every possibe chance she can to jump out of the tub and run away!!!

Luckily, yippi is quite ok during bathing… but every time when I wash his face, he will look at me like saying to me “mom, I don like bath…” and his eyes looks quite pity… Frown then I will say something soft to him, like "ok, ok, going to finish... 'quai' ha... " Tongue

Re: [kesuke] Bathing Dogs [In reply to] Can't Post

hi ppl, new here, just like to share my experience. My doggie always know when I am gonna shower her. I dunno how. Normally, I don't carry anything that gives it out. She'll just lie there and give me that sad look and refuse to come. But she is trained to stand still while I shower her. She is also trained to wait till I jump out of the bathroom and say Shake. Then she'll start shaking water off. But after I dry her, she goes crazy and run wild around the house. Lately I have changed to an Australian Brand shampoo for her. Aromatherapy (Lavender & Rosemary) nice shampoo. Maybe it is my imagination, but I feel like she is calmer when I shower her. Wink

Hi, Kitten

Thanks for the information.

My Bobo become very angry when he saw other dogs running in front of my house. Maybe after he uses this shampoo he will become more calm~...Sly.

errrr...Ellie, don't think it works that way. But your dog will be calmer during shower, u'll also enjoy the scent. Ur doggie is probably being a little territorial or excited when he sees other doggies outside.

Re: [kesuke] Bathing Dogs [In reply to] Can't Post

i bath kinki on every tuesday and saturday. usually durirng suuny day. should i or should not bath her under the hot sun?
when kinki notice i'm getting ready by taking the towel, tweezer and shampoo, she'll stand near the paip ready to take her bath.
but during her bathing process, she look very sad and got no mood.
right after her bath, she'll starts to jump around, bark and play tug a war with me using the towel.
why she got this kind of weird behaviour?
or is this normal?

Re: [Amanda85] Bathing Dogs [In reply to] Can't Post

hi there!

actually you don't have to bathe kinki 2 times a week..unless she's very dirty...once a week should be enough.. and i think it's not advisable to bathe dogs under the hot sun...the morning sun between 9 to 11 should be alright...

ahaha...don worry lah...if kinki doesn't like bathing she won't ever go near the water pipe...Laugh i think most dogs behave like kinki after baths...my billy boy is the same too...so you don't have to worry...i'm not sure why either.....Crazy
