Yep. I could smell that almost everywhere.

As I was new, I seem a little lost on where to start. So, it wasn't too much fun for me. Frown Maybe I was just too shy like my Mocha girl. Smile

But it was fun watching some of the dogs swimming in the pond. Hehehe... Tongue

Re: [paulynn] September 14, 2003 - Responsible Dog Ownership Day [In reply to] Can't Post

oh you're so right! MadMad Some owners just let their dog poo poo and left it there as if someone was responsible to pick up after their dogs and as if that was the most natural thing to do....as if the pile of poo will be fertilizer and contribute towards the greeneries at the park! MadMad

It's a Responsible Dog Ownership Day for goodness sake. If they can't even pick up after their dog might as well don't have one! The goodie bag came free for them, along with a POO BAG. Wonder what they used the bag for?!!

It's disgusting ler....and if every dog owner behaves that way, no wonder our furkids are banned from entering so many places too. CrazyPirate

But on the whole....good job everyone!! Very successful event!! YAY!!!!!!!! CoolCool

Thanks to all the planners and organizers...you must be exhausted after these events...especially those who are always "on" for the duration of the event. Please let us 'attendees' know how we can help you out in future outings. Really enjoyed today...am meeting more and more people, although it is difficult keeping eveyone's names straight. Good overall organization! Really appreciated the effort and 'spirit' that went in to today's outing.

Re: [mochacappucino] September 14, 2003 - Responsible Dog Ownership Day [In reply to] Can't Post

hehhhee...i almost step on them man..

the smell was everywhere, but then cannot see it esp those at the green. My dog had been walking around, n i was so worried if she step on it by accident.

I was kinda lost too today as this is my first puppy.com event. Dunno where to start, n dunno wat to do....i think i was shy too. but then my furgirl was so active, she was so excited when we arrive, keep running around and go looking for dog frens...n i was running behind her on the leash. she was so hyper that she go follow bigger dogs too, but then when they come nearby, she scare of them, seeing that sight was really cute.

I'm not sure if i do see any of the members that i've been chatting with. But then I think i did met afew lor.

A very tired day for both my dog n me. She was so tired that she's been sleeping the whole afternoon when we came back. Nevertheless, it was a really great outings except for some irresponsible owners. Thanks to the admin and the volunteers who had make this event a great one.

Hope to see u all in the next event. As this is the first outing, i'm not so well prepared and messy, that I can't go round meeting most of the members though. For those that i've met n if u do recognise me, I really hope that we will meet again in the next outing.

BIG THANK YOU for Madam Kang Volunteers & Donors [In reply to] Can't Post

Wow .... what a successful day. Just showed me how kind and generous Malaysians are.

A lot of people came with such heart and generousity.

Total amount collected - RM 1310 (Yippie Yeah !) and lots and lots of goodies

Here are a few example.

A Big Thank You To :-

Mrs Betty Chong ( who volunteered to go round asking everyone for money and single handedly collected RM 456.40 - 2 boxes full of money )

Myra (Mrs Betty Chong's daughter who carted more than a trolley full of goodies for Madam Kang)

Celine (who gave money, time and the donation box to Mrs Betty Chong)

See See (lots of time to prepare the deco for the table plus donation)

Reality Dreamer ( who helped write the article and came out with lots of idea plus collection)

Lennie ( who somehow manage to get transport there)

Serene Lim (one of the 1st there)

SnoopDog ( for the cash ... hahahahahaha)

Susan's husband (whom I bought Billy for the 1st BIG donation)

Vanaja Dhanan ( the lady in the next table who donated and tolerated me bumpng my hoversack into her all day as I walk in and out - who is also interested in joining us if we have the next charity drive for Madam Kang)

Hunter (for starting the thread)

(for virtual support and getting her buddies there)

All those I forgot to name - please forgive me lah .... reaching senior citizen age already lah

And OF COURSE those who gave so generously.

Good on you guys and gals.

Wah ..... sound like Oscar Award speech leh ... but really thank God for these kind souls.

The AKC Responsible Dog Ownership day was a great success with more than 1000 visitors turned up for the event.

Thumb up to all the committee members who worked so hard for three weeks to get all things organized and have it held successfully. Without these group of dedicated committee members, organising such event will not be possible. Many of them have not be able to concentrate on their daily works during these period Unimpressed.

We also great to have Max Lee who travel all the ways from Penang to do the obedience demo for us.

Cheers

Hi All,

A very special thanz to the organizing committee members, without YOU, the AKC RDO day will not come true and the turn out looks promising.

Thanz to all visitors/sponsors that turn up and signed the event registration form and guest book. Looking forward to meet YOU again in the near future.

Thanz a million to everybody Smile.

Yeah, I smell them all over the place too and almost stepped on them! Crazy
All the way through, I have to make sure that Puppy doesn't step on them!
So much for "Responsible Dog Ownership Day" to those people!
Guess what! Puppy and Wishes...even Couga (the mixed..very mixed alsation i got from Hawke) were behaving themselves...they did not do their business there at all...they waited till they reached home!
Elly...which one was you?!?!??! Wink

Great job to those people who have put sooooo much effort into this event...it was great!

Wow, thousand over dollars! Thanks to all those who contributed!

Also thanks to the lady who happened to bump into me on her way home...she couldn't find our booth and almost gave up untill she saw Puppy with his flag! Passed me a bag of stuff and left without leaving her name. Thanks to her too!

And for Betty...she did a great job! Bump into her 2 times and she was really working hard to get people to donate!Wink

And also to the lady who came up to me and donated 50 dollars! That was Puppy's first donor! Thanks! That was really nice of you...whoever you are!

hi Terry,

A big thank you to you for organizing this donation for M'dam Kang, and those who helped out in this donation drive.

Sorry about your dog Billy.. , you should know by know, Rex is a "bi-sexual" . Crazy I hope Billy won't be mentally disturbed after being "abused" by Rex... Billy is just a small boy .. 9 months rite?

Smile
