Dear all - Khoo, Arthur & Committee & Kathleen

Thank you very much for a great weekend and the effort put in to make it possible. We had a good time & surprise, my Mom said she doesn't mind going again!!!! This is despite the hot sun & the very tiring walk up to Level 3 (a few times a day!).

My doggies certainly enjoyed themselves, even my noisy 'gasping-for-air-cannot-breathe-the-whole-dutahacienda-can-hear' Pinky, hehehehe. She was just dying to get outta the room each time but 5mins later, there she goes... Mad

. As for Baby - I'm so happy to see that she's sociable.

Kathleen - thank you for finding us the place & thanks too, to the Resort staff which were courteous & helpful. Also a great idea about the special check-in.

Yes, we look forward to the next outing & Penang sounds real interesting, seeing that my Mom has been asking me to go there.

Just a small suggestion. It would be great if we can find a hill resort for an outing (Fraser's, Genting, Camerons??). It'll be nice & cool & our doggies can go out the whole day without worrying about the heat.

I know lah, especially in my case, as Pinky is the no. 1 wheezer!!! yes, yes, she's gotta lose some weight, too. Working on tht right now! Blush

hello pinky55poo :) So many heavy breather pugs there :p Khoobs gave me a big, wet, sloppy kiss! I am using dsl here so when I disconnect/reconnect my ip changes each time. I use a dynamic dns resolution program to help this, but it takes a few minutes to update each time. you can try the following address http://aeu.dyn.ee/...y_pd_trip/index.html

To All the Organizers of the PD trip:

Would also like to get my thanks in to all the organizers...this was my second puppy.com outing and I remain VERY impressed with the willingness and helpfulness of all the people involved in pulling these outings off. Each time I've met a few more members and am really enjoying that aspect, too. Although I wouldn't consider myself a 'joiner' of the planned activities as yet, it was fun and interesting to watch from the sidelines. A special thanks to Kathleen, for taking on the risk-hope the feedback from the resort is positive!

Hi everybody!

Whew! That was a nice way to spend a weekend! Smile

To Kathleen and management of the Palm Springs Resort..THANKS for making this vacation trip with our furkids a reality. We hope that this trend will continue and be a win-win situation for all.

To the organising committee..KhooBG, Ming Yang, Boon, CDMoo, Gina, KBS..great work guys. We pulled it off! Yes, some minor hickups here and there (like no hailer! Mad

) but based on the feedback so far, it's been pretty positive. The next vacation trip can only be better with the experience gathered from this outing.

I was glad to be able to meet up with the members/friends during this trip. It was a real team effort that made it a pleasant stay for all. And best of all, all the furkids were, more or less, on their best behaviour. The General Manager (Mr.Yam) commented to me that he was surprised that our block was quiet during the night.. guess he was kinda expecting some noise! Smile

Meanwhile, here's some highlights from the trip..

We booked for 58 rooms. 56 was taken up. That's a 97% turnup rate. Very good! Smile

Minipuppython: Men - David and his dog Kiki / Women - Daphne and her MiniSchnauzer Teddy. Both won a complimentary 3D2N stay in one of the resort chain. Congrats!

Winner of the longest stay: 1st - Law and his black lab Ranger, 2nd-Ben with Moca his 3.5 mths old MiniSchnauzer puppy, and 3rd was Patrica with her ladylike goldie, Amber. Congrats to all, and we were all amazed by the sheer concentration powers displayed by little Moca.. he just sat there, staring at the kibble... One more thing: Black labs are will be disqualified from entering all future longest stay events! Our last winner also was a black lab.. (Just kidding only.. Tongue

)

Fastest recall: 1st - Dewdropbunny with her poddle Bobby, 2nd, Sam and her Belgian dog, Elgin, 3rd-Serene with her GSD, Jamie. You guys were so fast that we had to resort to viewing the final race on Hunter's (Li Ping) videocam to determine the winner.. Congrats to all the winner and Bobby showed us that size does NOT matter when it comes to speed! Smile

(We should award Amber a special prize for the slowest, most ladylike recall! Tongue

)

Best Dressed dog: Winner, selected by the audience went to David and his super dog, Kiki! 2nd prize went to Hui Lu with her very cute Min Pin, Sasha, dressed in a tuxedo and cap outfit. 3rd prize went to Linda with Sherry? and her darling angel wings/halo outfit! We had fun watching all the participants.. Nice sporting spirit all! Smile

All 1st prize winners won a complimentary 3D/2N stay at one of the resort chain operated by Tanco. Rest of the prizes were generously donated by the committee members themselves.

On Sunday morning, after the group pic..many drove out to the nearby beach and had a nice swim with their furkids. Unfortunately I coulnt go, so would be great if someone would post some story/pics of this event.

It was really suprise that the furkids were so quite ... even a few of my malay colleagues were commenting that they were suprised .We were actually still sitting around and chit - chatting at the open air cafe at about 1 - 2 am plus... Wink

He... he guess its not just our puppy.com members were co - operative .... the furkids too were co-operative ... so smart of them !!

Actually the real main person that we really have to thank for this trip is MR YUM ( the GM )...... Wink

without his support ... I can't make it happen as well !

our furkids kaputi liow frm the day's activities so all zzzz quitely wth some snoring away, i'm sure Tongue

yup, i cud hear laughter coming frm the makan area, hehehe. we went down only wth Baby in the nite, sat around to chit chat for a while & let Baby play wth the doggies, then went up by 11pm. was quite nice by the river at nite wth a bit of breeze.
