it's been a long time since i last login... hi there jason... those bull terrier of your are beautiful.... Bravo to those dogs. It's good to know that you actually try to convince the rest of the ppl out there that bull dogs family are not all nasty dog. Me and my grouop of apbt fans actually tried to promote to the public about this breed. Perhaps one day we could meet up for a bull dogs gathering in Penang Island whr we held our own dog show, games and other activities. We got member from thai in the gathering as well. Last year we managed to pull a big crowd to come to the apbt show and those ppl who are having bad impression about bull breed had actually changed their point of view. Actually this activity can be join by other dogs lover as well, not only bully.
Our main purpose is to show ppl that this even though this dogs are breed for games, only a small percentage ppl doing it. The rest it's a house pet / guard dogs.
by the way, Im a bull terrier lover also..!!
I may not be the one who start the fight, but I will not hesitate to finished it ....

Nowadays, petshop selling low standard bt. Not nice to mention their name here, just for u guys to know, white with grey patches bt with back leg problem selling at 2888. Another white bt that has been caged since they brought into the shop until now 6month old still in that cramp cage causing crooked backbone and still selling for 2899. Heart sick for the poor dog. Ppl should learn not to buy from pet shop as there is no guarantee.

Hi Stanley, Lately I have been receiving alot of emails complaining to me they have 'fallen victim', 'cheated', 'misinformed' by unscrupulous petshops when they buy their English Bull Terriers pups from them.
I hope I will be able to answer the questions in the emails I received and help and inform future potential EBT buyers from falling into these traps in this thread/posting !
The buyers are lead to believe by the petshops that the EBT pups they buy do not have MKA certs because they are a banned breed !
Please note that EBT are not included in the 7 breeds that are banned by our govt ! Pit Bull Terriers are banned and the pet shops owners used this breed to cover themselves for not being able to give them the EBT buyers the certs !
EBT just needs special/restricted import permits just like GSD or Rotties for imports ! I would like to admit that getting an import permit for an EBT is harder compared to other breeds that need special/restricted import permit is because our Govt. Vet. Dept. upon seeing the words 'Bull Terrier' eventhough I specifically stated 'ENGLISH' Bull Terrier in my applications they would immediately think that all 'Bull Terrier' breeds are banned because they always have 'Pit Bull Terrier' in their minds !
Another question that a few bully lovers asked me is whether my EBT imported from UK needs to be quarantine ?
All dogs except for banned breeds imported from UK, Sweden, Australia, Japan and Singapore need not be quarantine. Although they are not required to be quarantine there are several conditions imposed by our Govt. Vet. Dept which I am not going to discuss here as some requirements upon discussing can be quite sensitive !
As I have mentioned in my earlier postings that it is because of the sub standard low quality EBT pups that petshops sells that drove me to import in my own EBTs ! I know how you feel as I felt the pain and was very sad when I saw all those miserable pups suffering in their cages in the pet shops. Apart from the ridiculously high price tags and without MKA certs the pups are stunted and have physical problems. I am not trying to boast or brag but the 3 month old pup which I have just imported from UK is easily very much bigger than the 6 months old pups which I have seen in pet shops ! One person participating in this thread who have just visited me can attest to this as that person have personally seen the age and size of EBT pups in pet shops compared to mine ! I'm not trying to run them (pet shops) down but like you I hope we can educate future potential EBT buyers to refrain from buying pitiful sub standard EBT pups ! I really can't blame the purchasers because they do not know where they can get reasonable quality pups. My heart really goes out to them ! I hope that with the good helpful people in this forum and real bully lovers can unite and help potential future bull terrier owners !
Please note that when you mentioned the colour 'grey' in EBT it is a fault !

Hi,
Thanks for your concern. I have yet to receive the proper documentation despite calls to mka almost everyday. I am told that it will be coming something next week but even then, I am doubtful. But, if by some miracle, I do manage to get hold of the cert before the 15th. I will be lacking a handler (I just found out junior handlers are no longer allowed in the show ring). I have a couple of friends who showed their Chows years back that won't mind handling mine but Chows Chows are in the same group as Sibes. So it's quite a head-scratch. Anyway, I'll just see how it goes. But.. odds are slim.
Nevertheless, I will be still attending the show and am excited to see my first EBTs. How is the prep coming along?

Hi,
Did you call Ms.Azian to enquire whether you can register for the show ? I don't see why junior handlers are not allowed in the show ring, maybe Knotidoc have something to comment over here . Anyway I am more than happy to handle your husky if he allows me to show him ! I believe Knotidoc and GoldenAddict would be able to help in this sector too !

The Husky puppy will only be 5 months old tomorrow. He is only eligible to one class only -minor puppy- on day of show. And in the minor puppy this group will consist of other breeds as well. Win or lose it will be homeward bound.
There used to be a junior handling event during lunch break and children under 18 years old will take part.

How do you classify the pup if he is exactly 6 months old on the day of the show itself ?
No wonder, I was wondering why a young/junior MKA member cannot participate in the dog show as mentioned by Joshua. He must have been mistaken when he saw the word 'junior' which was meant for 'junior handlers' participating in the junior handling event ! So if he is a young guy but he is not participating in any handling competition for that particular day means he can handle his own dog.

Wow. I need clarification in this please. It would be great being able to show.
My husky is born on the 28th of September, therefore on the day of the show he will be EXACTLY 6 months old. Firstly a sincere thank you Jason for your offer, but i'll be honest. Even if there is a handler, I am pretty sure he won't win, Maybe he'll get best puppy in group (or if really lucky.. show) but nothing more. CCs? Fat hope. In the upcoming show there are a few huskies who are older and much matured (including 2 from my breeder and 1 grand champ). Therefore the only reason for me to show is to gain experience and not to win.

Hey Joshua,
Just wanted to clarify with you that those below 18 years of age CAN show dogs in MKA shows. I have a friend who is only 14 or 15 this year & she has showed her English Cocker Spaniel to her Championship & even handled her friend's Golden Retriever & Chihuahua.
By the way, if your dog is below the age of 6 months, he can only be shown in the Minor Puppy class. Better be quick to register him for the show. Closing date is just around the corner.

What u mean how's everything? RU asking everyone or a particular party? I'm rather busy with full house until end of months and also 3/4 full in April. And in mid April I'm sending an Aust Silky to Melbourne. In addition to all these I saw a unique marking alley kitten at the wet market and took it home as pet. She is known as Kaki Puteh.

My question was actually directed towards scapolitejoshua. I think a glitch in the system blasted my Q to everybody in this thread. This forum is always full of annoying glitches. :/
I hope your boarding business is going well. I am currently boarding a female Chow Chow for only 3 days. Cute kittay. Glad to know you adopted her.

BTW do U classify a Chow Chow under the 'high risk' category&charge extra? I do unless it comes when it was a puppy under 8 months old.
I did not adopt the cat, I just put the wild little creature in a plastic bag, didn't have to ask anyone for permisssion and took it home. What made me do it was her features. If you have noticed her markings she is completely black. Her front legs only the paws are white, as for the hind quarters the white is extended evenly to the hock. under carriage is pure white up to the chest. Most striking features on her are the eyes are green, whiskers and eyebrows are all white. Say what you may, alley cats don't need house training, she pee & poo on the grass at this tender age. I'm training her to walk on a leash. Can it be done? I heard once from a lady from Finland that cats in Finland were taken out for walks just like dogs on leash.

No, not really but I should actually. Those who boarded their b*tches in estrus with us were charged extra. This dog I am boarding right now is 6 months old & has all the typical traits of a Chow. Very independent & aloof but well behaved & has quite a decent temperament. We actually no longer do pet boarding as a business (I think I've told you this before) but we didn't mind boarding this Chow because it's only staying with us for 3 days. The owner wants to get his dog trained so we probably will be starting our 1-on-1 OB classes when he comes back from his trip.
I tried OB training my fat black cat once but quickly gave up because I don't have the kind of temperament, patience & determination to train cats. I'll just let my fat black cat be the way she wants to be - a couch potato. I'll stick to training dogs.
Sure, it is possible to leash-train a cat. You just have to be very patient. Good luck!

Hey Jason,
Haven't seen you in this forum for a while. How have you been? Just wanted to let you know that we will be at the show very early in the morning, probably around 6 to grab a good place. We will save a big space for you & your dogs. I am not sure if scapolitejoshua is actually showing his dog or not, haven't heard from him either but there'll be plenty of space for them both too.
Are you & your dogs prepped for the show? I have just groomed my dogs two days ago. Bathing will be on the day before the show.

Hi,
Have been super busy for the past few weeks, with outstation friends dropping in for visits, biz arrangements, daily chores and last but not least getting my bullies prepared for the show ! Was also busy painting their travelling crates, washing their foldable crates for the show and doing road work with them. Will try to do some grooming for them tomorrow or the day after.
Thank you so much for reserving a place for us at the show. BTW why are you going there so early at 6 am ? I will most probably be travelling down to KL on Saturday and will bunk in at my brother's house for the night before the show.

Wow, you've been busy! I haven't been doing any road work with my dogs. Been concentrating wayyy too much on training them how to stack correctly. lol The reason why we're going very early this time is because previously, when we reached the venue at 7 a.m., there were already a bunch of people & they all grabbed the best places & plug points.
Looking forward to see you guys at the show too!
