After reading an article many many years ago regarding this breed. I am so impressed by the loyalty of this Japanese Working Breed, or maybe Japanese Fighting Breed. This forum welcome anyone who have or understand about this breed to share their knowledges. I don't own Akita but many of my friend do, Raymond has 7 Akitas, Poh has 5 Akitas, Mrs Tan has 2 Akitas and lots more. Therefore, I am quite interested in this breed but due to I have 3 American Staffordshire Terrier at home, I can't.

Penang still have quite numbers of Akita owner, but most of them don't breed them. Due to this is not a commecial forum I can't give you the breeder's info in this forum anyway, see NG he has my contact. hehehe! Nice to meet you anyway.

Hi there! Have on Akita right now with me & it's a rare Brindle Akita... Found it on the road, emaciated, diseased & was almost dying. She's now fully recovered but she has some of the Akita characteristics which is food possession. She's very beautiful & her name is Chantelle.

Thanks for the info. I have a male akita pup now and looking for a female from different lineage as company.
One thing about akitas, they are very dominant breed even as a pup, pls make sure you have the experience in handling large breeds before getting them. They may look like cute furballls when young but this breed grows to the size of a rottweiler when grown.
Good things about them are: easy to housebreak, rarely bark and less energetic than other popular guard breeds like GSD or Dobe...
The akita I had was okay. He barks, just not as much as other dogs and it sometime howls too. Akitas are very strong dogs and its temperament may be quite bad. Even my brother got bitten by the dog before. theothercrazeesite.blogspot.com/

u mean MR MW Lim? he is from Penang From what i know, his Akita all come with cert & tag & all jap line... better give ur name now as i know his list of puppy are long... some ppl already booked from him for the future/coming litter
Just contacted Julius...no pups available currently.
Mine is MKA reg but of mixed blood between Japanese and American Akita..he has a black mask. Though only a couple months old, he has sturdier bone structure than Jap Akita and looks more like a American Akita (bear look) than a Jap Akita (wolf)...you will know what I mean if you see the comparison pics from the web.
My pup is quite strong willed but hasn't been that bad to bite anyone in my family...is an ongoing process to show him who is the boss. I will not tolerate any dogs that bite their owners...
One true thing about their characteristic though is that they are rather aloof...my pup will not come begging for play or constant attention. I do however take him for daily walks to bond closer with him and more importantly, to show him his place in the pack.

Staying in KL.
Actually the brindle female looks really good and I would have took it but just worry about inbreeding. Therefore now looking for a female pup hopefully from different parents.
If you have a GSD and rottie, perhaps you should reconsider about getting an akita...they are not so dog friendly and could cause problems if starts fighting.
From what I heard, akitas never back down from fights and your GSD and rottie are formidable breeds as well....anyway,research more before making a purchase.
