agree with psy, you should bring you doggie check with the vet first...I have bring my doberman to see vet last week and according to the vet, dog skin problem can cause by many reasons and food allergy is only small portion (<10%) among the many reasons/causes of skin problem...majority skin problems are cause by other reasons like infection, dog house environment, humidity and etc...thanks god, my son is recovery slowly now after eat the medicine given by the vet...

I have taken her to the vet many times! She has a skin fungus that just wont go, have been on a course of medicationfor this but her immune systemis pretty low at the moment as she has just had an operation to remove a cyst(and another course of drugs) at the moment we are trying to avoid any more medication as she has been on quite a lot. She is on a course of supplements to see if this is caused by a zinc deficency. If this does'nt work will have to change her food again, already changed from chicken to lamb. Unfortunatley she keepspassing the fungus to her sister. Which means I have two itchy, scratchy dogs.

gernt,

glad to hear that your titan's skin condition is improving, hope he will fully recover soon.

i have just started a herbal capsule with mine, it looks improving very good, all the red dots are not red anymore, and he scratch less now.

ferg&nell,

will let you know, if he fully recovered. don't worry too much.

Re: [ferg&nell] Any DOBERMANS fans here? [In reply to] Can't Post

if you doberman really is the fungus problem, try this: use listerine (human mouth wash, mint favour/green color) wash your dob. once a week. My dob. has fungus problem before and it really works! Was taught this "secret formula" by two doberman owners and both of them are saying the same thing so i try...

Excellent will give it a try! Do I just sponge it on and leave it or wash it out? Thanks for the tip.

what i do is just dilute the listerine with shampoo then "soak" my dob. body for 10 minute and wash it. hopefully this would help your dogs also.

Hi, Genrt,

Would like to ask if this 'listerine shampoo' could be use on my Goofy (a chihuahua mis pinscher).. How is fungus actually? Isit the fur dropped patch by patch ar? I mean the fur sticks to a small patch together and would drop off.

Not really sure but I think it is wise to clean up the skin and since as you think it is external it would be best, otherwise get the vet to give you a comfimation of what it might be.

Hi,

Actually I'm trying the Sebolytic Medicated Shampoo.. Don't know is it not working or hasn't work lor..I bath Goofy once a week. Tried 3 baths only, so don't know whether doesn't work or hasn't work lo... As the one you mentioned, I think I'll gonna try it in case this Sebolytic still doesn't see any results after few baths more.

Thanks for your info ya!!! Tongue

Re: [estorial] Any DOBERMANS fans here? [In reply to] Can't Post

basically may i know what is the difference of those pups which carries the prize tag of rm1600 , rm2500~ and rm 3800~

met a few of those sellers/breeders and most of the price is not so stable as i've seen a big variance of price difference...

those at rm1600~ too is from a champion line with good temprement and so on.. MKA cert, ear cropped , superchip and etc ...

and those at rm2500~rm3800 too states the same specs as the rm1600~ too...

So now am getting confused over the big price tag difference of these awsome brand .. can someone help me to clear the air as which would be a good buy and so on ..pls advise based on personal experience...

or is it that the market is being speculated by some of those sellers ....

would love to get one soon...

thank you

Re: [Genrt] Any DOBERMANS fans here? [In reply to] Can't Post

cool site ...

anyway after all these weeks running around finding for a dobe ..finally i've settle with one from a breeder at t-wangsa.

looks like there is a demand of these sort of dogs these days here in malaysia. infact this breeder is being referred by MKA too.

now comes the preparation of this newcomer in my little family as i'll be getting him only after 2~3weeks time as the breeder is taking care of it's newly cropped ear at the moment..

So shall we have a meet someday so that we can exchange more notes and info of the DOBE's..

say somewhere in PJ ...how ??

Re: [Genrt] Any DOBERMANS fans here? [In reply to] Can't Post

hey there genrt..

just logged in today and missed out the session.

Infact me just brought back my pup last night and getting adjusted to it. all night long there was a free karoake and hell ya i enjoyed it every single moment. yup they are still pups and bringing them to a new environment definately changes the entire sense ... i guess as i believe all puppies do behave like this when they are being separated from their other half.

now comes to more info ... right now the ears are being cropped and there is this 2 high tower attached to it. May i know how long do i need to keep it there ? and how frequent do i need to change it ?

last night it ate well and this morning it seems to be darm exhausted and also did not had it's lunch. poop twice. Is this normal that they don't eat well as adopting to the environment ?

would appreciate all feedback from all the dobe lovers...

another thing mine is a rusted coloured one ...some say that this is a difficult colour to take care off. is this true ?

hi estorial,

you are rite, all the dobe owners seem so busy huh..

let's keep this thread active.

how's your pup doing? u got him from titiwangsa rite?

mine is already 4 years old, he always sneak out from the house lately.. to look for girl friends.., my bull mastif was stolen just 2 days ago... so, if i still can't find him back, i may have to buy another doberman to keep my dobe company.
