Re: [ALL] American Staffordshire Terrier & APBT Lovers [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi All My Dear Members,

American Bully

American Bully is just a common name for a Show Quality American Pitbull Terrier (UKC) / American Staffordshire Terrier (AKC). If you follow this breed's history, you can see that a American Bully is actually a AST... Confuse?

I mean the very original American Bully is actually a AST, but in 1987 someone has crossed bred an AST with an Old English Bulldog just to improve the stocky and blocky muscular look for the breed. A much more stable breed was bred in 1990 with a shorter muzzle, huge head, short legs, wide broad chest, and beautiful marking was then name as American Bully... however this breed are still not reconize by all the clubs and kennal associations.

The American Bully still registered as American Pitbull Terrier under UKC and American Staffordshire Terrier under AKC and other clubs in most of the countries. The only Association that allowed this breed to register under the Name as American Bully is American Dog Breeder Association (ADBA) as far as I understand (maybe it could be more up to today).

A quality American Bully doesn't comes cheap, there are lots of fine bloodlines for American Bully, example: Razorsedge (believe the breeder had crossed with Old English Bulldog over many times to reach today quality), Elitesedge (out from Razorsedge), XXX (triple X), Bluenose Pit, Gottie, RamboPit, Kamekaze and a lots more.

American bully also come in 3 different sizes, which are Small, Standard and over size. And the most common and popular is the standard size AmBully.

My female pup now is 13 weeks old and her weight is 8.3 kg which I believe she wil be a beautiful bitch when full grown.

Hope these could clear your doubts... Smile

He hunts in Pahang. Hunting wild boar. Hes currently using vege dog to hunt... Then he bought a bull mastiff to hunt. And Amazingly . . . those vege dogs are more pro and agi in hunting as compared to bull mastiff. And then he looked for Dogo, but too expensive d . .5k++ . . . So i suggest him pits lo . . . str+courage+agi=Frown

Re: [OmgPuppy!] American Staffordshire Terrier & APBT Lovers [In reply to] Can't Post

ahhaha BM can't do hunting like vege and hunting dogs la... BM are for working my fren, unless ur going to make the BM take down the wild boar instead of shotgun. If guns take the finishing, y don go for cocker spaniel, daschund, beagle, j.russell. Small dog do wonders man...they are more agile. U can use bully as well but to aggressive already la.

I remember there is a forum member who do hunting as well, he tried lots of different dogs, still stick back to small hunting dogs and vege dogs...guns always take the finishing.Cool That member did use bully but end up losing alomost his pack of bully. All to brave already and end up in the wild boar task

i found out from some others sites...

Dogs that are used to attack hogs do wear protections, protectiong there chest and abdomen area...else i dont think the dogs stand a chance. 4 dogs or more are used to hold the hog until the owner arrive.

Else if just bark, chase and corner the hog, smaller dogs like what suggested are great choice

Aiyohh . . that mastiff so gek sam . . . That wild boar got turbo one ma, that mastiff so slow, end up u-turn back without anything =.=So now retired d. cocker spaniel, beagle, jrt , they're good in hunting. But its too dangerous. Perhaps hunting smaller animals more suitable for them. Cuz sometimes when the wild boar get surrounded, those dogs still start to attack it. And when the wild boar attack, 85% that the dogs will get hurt, cut.( Dun worry, my uncle bring along his cut-vet ) So smaller dogs are not really suitable lo. Currently vege dogs are most suitable for wlid boar hunting as what he told me. But he said wanna go for a " standard " hunting wohh, so he's looking for a better hunting pedigree lo. Normally he will bring along his rifle , but don't really need it. Cuz he bring along 10 dogs when he go hunting. And when those dogs make that wild boar tired. My uncle will just stab that wild boar with his very very very long parang lo.
