Ms. Lewis taught me to hold the chin gently and he'll stop barking follow by lots of praise. it works! i was so surprised as Ms. Lewis did that on my dog and he just stoped barking! that's why i said i really wanna thank her for that very very usefull method to stop his "talkative behavior".

Re: [RenaC] Agility Party , KK - 14th May 2003 [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi RenaC,

We infact had an intro section and if you view the photo gallery at http://photogallery.pets2u.com.my/...?cat=550&thumb=1 and you will see that we have some pictures on members introuction.

The crowd is too big and we had difficulty to get everyone to come forward to make self introduction. We hope we can improve that in the future with some sound system.

What type of dog is muffin ?

Cheers

Hi Jennifer,

The gathering was great and we had a record of about 60 dogs and >100 humans and is by far the biggest gathering we had so far. Weather was windy.

Pictures can be viewed at
http://photogallery.pets2u.com.my/...?cat=550&thumb=1

Hope to see you at the next gathering.

Cheers

THanks for complimenting Sunnie and for sharing with me some grooming tips and where to bring Sunnie for grooming. It's good to know that Muffin and Sunnie have much in common too (despite different sex hehe)...like we both stay in apartments, like they (the shih tzus) think they are humans and they like running 100 m around the house and like to follow people to the bathroom...lol...

Look forward to see you again, Muffin is adorable too....!

Re: [ALL] Agility Party , KK - 14th May 2003 [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi all,

*sigh* Seems like this time around I didn't get much of a chance to socialise like the last gathering. Crazy So many of you with such familiar usernames were there and I wasn't even aware!!!

Tyler and I got kinda caught up keeping an eye on Bizkit and making sure she didn't make any of the dogs at the gathering her breakfast/lunch.....just in case. Unsure First time she's out hanging around so many dogs so we were extra careful with her.

Anyway, Sparkle will be there for the next gathering and he should be easier to watch after as he's a lot smaller and quite a scare-dy dog! Tongue Then can more chance to talk to all of u leh...and finally put a face to all the usernames in the forum!

Mr Khoo....we'll need a hailer the next time, eh? Wink I tried standing as close to the 'introduction zone' as possible but it was still kinda impossible to hear over all the noise...kekeke..Anyway, was great meeting all of you there and we really had fun!! Now each time we open the car door Bizkit gets all excited and happy...."when you taking me out again...??" Smile

Hi Emily,

I was soooo shocked Shocked seeing Mocha being chased and I thought that she will stop running after awhile.... but what really caught me by surprise was she just JUMP into the water !

I was so scared seeing her in the water as she was surrounded by a lab (dunno whose) and she was sooooo small trying all her might to climb back up to me ! hahaha, oh well after that she didn't dare to get near any dogs for a very looooong while and the daddy have to teman her walk far-far away.

I was really surprise that Timmy went into the water too... not alot of shih tzu dare to and he was so happy playing with all the others doggies there unlike Mocha (very timid lar)

cheers,
minglmy

HI Mak,

Don't worry too much abt ur 2 monkeys. it will definitely take some time before they get used to seeing all the dogs around and befriend to all.

I think it will also be the same thing for my puppy as she is sooo afraid seeing all the BIG size dogs around her. Well, let's hope the next time she will do better than this.... hehe, keep in touch ya ! Smile

SmileHi everyone! Very...very happy to meet everyone of U as this is my 1st time to KK and my 3rd time of get together. What a big crowd and lots of yummy yummy foods especially the doggies birthday cake. "Yum Yum" I have tasted it ..... it was so tasty !Tongue "Ai Ya! No-lah!" my peke tasted it and I know it must be good because she loves it so much and wanted more, she ate until her face was creamy too. She even wanted to fight with the little "Jack Russell" (I can't remember the name) who came near her, remember the little "Jack Russell" .... running up and down and chasing around.... Sososo ... Cute! and the Shih Tzu, the Pom, Mini Schnauzer ... and the rest.

When my furkids's birthday in Nov & Dec I hope I can order from ....who baked the cheese cake? Can I order in advance?

Hi! Makrawl,
Sorry I didn't know it's U until when I go thru' the Forum again. I'm so sorry. Never mind, next gathering hope to C.U again. I hope .... may be end of the year I can breed my peke.

Cheers! CoolHave a nice & happy weekend.Tongue

If you are talking about the cake with the yogurt and cream cheesecake frosting, then I am the one who made it. The cake is made from eggs, organic wheat flour, canned tuna, shredded carrot, butter; and yogurt, cream cheese/cottage cheese and sunflower seeds for the frosting. I modified the recipe from a chocolate cake recipe, but I omitted all the sugar and chocolate. My Sunnie loved it at home but too shy to eat outside that day Crazy

Yeah if you want, I'll be most happy to bake the cakes for your lovely pekes...I have to admit they're two of the cutest pekes i've ever seen so far in Malaysia !

Oh yes the crowd was big partly because it was held on a Public Holiday. May be we will have to hold such meet either on Sunday or Public holiday to have more participation.

Makrawl,

Thank you for your kind words. I think to stop a dog from barking is one of the hardest behaviours to change. So I wish you patience with him and lots of love.

I will look for no-bark collar when I go to show in Germany on May 27.

See you at the next meeting!

To Everyone, It was pure joy to meet so many positive dog lovers. My girls (Fina and Oprah, black poms) were desperately in need of socialization. They have been alone since moving here in January without any of their doggy friends and they need to learn how to behave in a crowd again!!! Thank you all for making me feel so welcome. It is such a good resource to have puppy.com to find out about events and such. I too would like to have a puppy.com shirt. You can e-mail to me at lmlewis@

See you all soon, Linda

CoolHi Linda,

Pleased to meet U at the KK gathering. U have 2 cute .... lovely Pom. Did your Pom eat the cheese cake? Oh...my Peke loves it so much Tongue so I was very happy that in this Forum/gathering I have found someone (CYPhang) baked doggies cakes. So, I am planning to place order when my furkid's birthday.

Nice talking to you & hope to see you again in the next gathering.
