Hi Ming Yang,

After consultation with HC Yeap, our webmaster and some other members, it is decided to defer this trip to a later date in view of the current health situation.

The new proposed date is from Aug30-01Sep (during the Merdeka weekend). Hopefully by then, we would have weather the current health crisis. Since it's over the weekend, more folks can join in.

In the meantime, there is a line up of doggie activities to keep us busy till then. In May, we'll have our doggie activities lined up.. June we'll have the UPM dogathon. July (dunno yet). In August, there's the AKU dog show and our vacation trip!

Any health consideration is always welcomed. This would give everyone room to plan ahead. Can't have ours (furkids included) temperature taken everydays, eh... Would definately spoil the fun. Meanwhile we can look forward to the events mentioned by Arthur. Looking forward to the dogathon especially.

Michele, I have not been to it yet. It's in Bangi. Missed last year's. But I heard lots of fun stuffs about it. In short, it's a doggy's day out. They have various events and activities lined up. One of them would be to run with the dog in sort of a marathon. Also have fun fairs there, etc, etc. Maybe some of the members could shed some lights. Looks like puppy.com members had better get themselves and dogs included, fit...hehehe. Cheers.

Hi Michelle!

The dogathon is an annual event organised by the Club Zoologico-Veternak, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia. It is normally held in June. This year the date is set at 29th June.

I will start up a new thread in this events forum once I have more info on this event. Like Jason mentioned, it's really a fun day for all doggie owners. This event is also supported by the. Expect lots of fun filled events for both doggies and owners.

Hope it's OK to post this website that I found.

wildmalaysia.net/main/help_dogs.html

Check it out, this guy has a dog and lives in Malaysia and writes about traveling with his dog.
I think he would be interested in hearing about the hotel you guys found that would accept dogs.

I want to join in the trip too. Also the dog day out in Bangi. Is it still on for Sunday, June 29th??? I'll look for more posts under events. Thanks Linda, Fina and Oprah

Hello everyone,

I'm very excited too about this dream vacation. But not sure yet whether can join or not. But do keep me update about the event.

By the way, how much do I have to pay if I join the trip?

Anyway, everyone is doing great for organizing such a trip. I heard the gathering last Sunday is really great and fun. Got into the paper too. I hope I can get hold of the paper. Hope not too late. Unlucky for me that I cannot join you all last Sunday.

Looking forward to future gathering.
