Yeah,when odie was still a puppy,my bf won't leave him at home...he brought him to work....so odie wud stay in his room while he's busy with his work...odie was sorta the entertainer for the office ppl Laugh

You should come here again...the weather is nice, right?hehehehe...the atmosphere is good too...and you get to eat clam chowder too!!Now that's a plus plus...hehehehe.... Tongue

yeah..you get to see them walking on the street,jumping up and down,in the store....just about everywhere you can name..and I'm always impressed with lab's performance as guide dog..to blind ppl or disabled ppl...They are totally not like "lab?"...they are calm,walking slowly like a snail....no more jumping up and down....they have quite a heavy responsibility on their shoulder...and they take it seriously..no main main...

san francisco is not only a retriever haven...the weather is great....mari mari visit san francisco...haha...like ambassador pulak now...kekekeke...

Also Alaska King Crab is a must try too.... do have plan to go back to frisco for a memory trip, but it will be totally depend on my work load and of coz the world issue now.

I see a lot of labs as service dogs in Seattle too. There is a program where you can volunteer to look after a puppy until it has to go for training. Then the puppies who passed the rigorous training and tests are picked to become service dogs. That is why they are very calm and I think you are not supposed to pet them. My milo can never be one though, he is too hyper.

hi,

yeah i saw aprogramme before where only calm and alert lab will be choosen to be guide .....those who rae hyper active like mine will be given to the public (long waiting list)is waiting to adopt them...even some of the guide dog retired from their duty there is a long list waiting to adopt them......some of the dog will go back to the foster owner which look after during their puppyhood and the training session ....... Wink

ever saw few GRs guide dog in my uni, they guide those blind students..really amazing manz... Shocked

i always feel so touch when saw those lovely dogs. world is instead beautiful because of those nice and smart doggie Wink

hi. how are things goin' on? lol, hunter has been busy hunting lately, but he certainly haven't forgotten this thread.

i've been visiting the gundog section everytime i logged in, but it seems really quiet. Workload at uni. has increased drastically, been really busy.

I am still around...just that I am busy preparing my plan for summer...lol... Wink

Actually i told you about the shop thing,this morning my bf suggested that I sell dog stuff too if i wan...hehehe...I am still thinking about it...probably some exclusive stuff for dogs..like jerseys,tux,coats and etc...Anyhow, need to get the store ready first before thinking of doing so much....hehe...think so much no good for brain...can't even relax sometimes...sigh...and having tons of things to do from skool....you noe, nearing the end of sem...so better brush up on things a lil bit...

odie is still fine..healthy...and as for therapy dog, not sure yet...but of course, i hope odie can make it..sometimes, he's too notti...hehehe...and he bites my hand like hell too!!!grrrrrrr...... Unsure

really have to tell trainer to do something about it...behavior behavior....gosh...already two but acting like a mth old!!!!after the shop is ready,odie can swing by and stay upstairs..but have to be strictly monitored....hehe..dun wan to lose customers.. Cool

and soon, as you know, he will get his new partner..the bichon... Laugh

can't wait!!!!!!they can hang out together...

weather is so-so..sometimes rain and sometimes breezy....I think malaysia too(KL)..dad is complaining...can't do sh#t..thunderstorm everyday....ahhh..hoping for better weather soon...

ohya...yesterday i went to see THE MATRIX..on my way to the ladies, I saw a man with a chihuahua in the theatre outside the restroom...i wanted to bring in starbucks coffee but was told not to bring it in...had to throw away my mocha...duh!!BUT A MAN CAN BRING A DOG??????!!!!!!!!how unfair...good for the doggie tho...kekekekeke....maybe he just put it in his sweater since you noe,chihuahua is the size of those hotdogs sold inside loews cinema... Unsure

hope that he won't be mistaken for something else..or bark...

haha...don't be mistaken...I am not starting a pet shop ler...hehe...I don't think I have the qualifications...odie alone also "gao ng dim"...hehehe....actually my bf and I are starting a hobby shop...we sell RC stuff...you noe, those toys la...haha...and my bf says that it's okay if I wanna include some dog stuff to sell....cuz he knows I am a dog fanatic...and also a luny...hehehehehe... come come come...come and play with odie...hehehe....we are shopping for an SUV..you noe what, it's really difficult...odie has to come first on our mind before anything....subaru,migod..too short for odie..VW, nah..too small too for odie...lexus,too expensive for mommy and daddy...bimmer,the look is terrible and odie says it sucks..we are thinking about discovery...the size is right but one thing that's holding us back, the seats, when you fold it up, there's this sharp thing...we are worried it might hurt O-MAN...hmmm....you see... Unsure

mommy and daddy basically shopping a car not for ourselves but for O-dog...grrrr...woof woof...(I also have to bark!!)

so the shop is gonna be in san francisco...however, if you are here in US and coming to sf, let me know...i can bring you to our small shop... Smile

we sell RC stuff and I am planning to sell doggie stuff one day..but not now...it's entirely on my interest...and my love for all the dogs in the world... Wink

as for your idea, it's fun to begin with and the idea is new...actually here in the US, dogs can go anywhere they wan..I even brought my dog to bloomingdale's, a high line shopping mall...as long as they don't have the NO PETS sticker, I brave in..hehehehe...dogs are given the same freedom like human being..some time ago, a member told us about setting up a resort...you?or someone else?that's a good idea I have to say...dogs in malaysia they don't have much freedom cuz afterall, we are in a muslim country...but my guess, as time goes by, ppl literally will accept that dogs are part of us too...kudos to anyone that wanna break the ice first...

I love dogs...more and more after coming here... Cool

oh. so it's a hobby shop, not a pet shop la.. :|... gee, i was hoping u said yes, so u could sell me some stuffs at cheap price muhahahaha :))

anyway, a pet friendly shop that sells exclusive items for doggies (but actually is a hobby shop..) should be a nice place to hang around. i'm sure it'll be great. and you'll probably get rich if ur bf come open it here in malaysia :))
