Guess what? There's always something going on in this forum so here's our 2nd outing for another walk-walk at the Bukit Kiara trial. This time, we'll do it early in the morning during the dragon hour to enjoy all that "Yang" energy that the cool morning rainforest air provides.
Venue: Bukit Kiara Trail (For map, pls refer to earlier thread on 22Feb03)
Date: 04March03 (Tuesday - Public Holiday Awal Muharram)

I will try my best to make it. I have to be back in Teluk Intan this weekend to visit my grandma. She had a stroke on Monday. So I don't know when I will be back next week. If I can make it, I will sponsor and cook 10 packets of nasi lemak. Can't afford to cook too much cuz I have to wake up like 6 am in the morning to cook the curry chicken ! So we all can share share lah...ok? We can makan at one of the nearby coffee shops or go for dim sum (provided they allow outside food loh). What do u guys think of the suggestion?
If I can't make it back to KL, I will sms one of you guys...If I am not in time, have fun guys ! With warm regards, CY Phang

Hi CY,
Thks for the generous offer! It is very kind and thoughtful of you. However do not trouble yourself too much. Just join us for the walk-walk (if you can make it back in time) and enjoy the fresh air and the company of fellow doggie owners .
However, your nasi-lemak would come in handy for the MIPE dog show especially for us who are showing.

hey arhtur, maybe this time we'll meet you guys at your gate... but to clarify, you know when i get up to the HEALTH crossroads from Kiara side (ie from the side where you guys walked down to after passing the corssroads)... where do I go to reach those gates? Do I go straight on, or do I turn anywhere? Do you guys pass the view of Taman Tun on your way down to the crossroads?

I called home and she seems to be better. She's on acupuncture and chinese herbs for now. THe acupuncturist said a high chance of recovery. I'm not going back this weekend as it's too rushing since I have to be back on Sunday as I have classes on Monday.
So very likely I will be able to join you guys! With warm regards, CY Phang

Hi Gang,
thanks for a such a great morning; which was really worth waking up so early. "yawn" I am really glad to have been able to put so many faces to the names in the forum and a special thanks to Arthur and Sharon, for letting me walk their great furkids whilst Pepperboy is in Penang with his Mummy.
I'm still a little unsure on how to put photos up in the forum, so I emailed most of the shots to our webmaster to assist. ( hope you don't mind, Mr Khoo ) Enjoy..

What an outing this was ! First of all, almost everyone was late due to parking constraints due to lots of city folks that wake up early for walks! (Gina, we are very proud of you !)
Everyone was waiting round, trying to keep the furkids out of the joggers way and curious stares..Most reacting kindly with smiles , some frowned and looked annoyed. Then..a tall figure came stridiing down the trail..Look..it's a bird? It's a plane? NO..it's ALPHA Jenn and Treo !
She came, she saw and she lead the way up...
The weather was fantastic..cooling and refreshing..especially deeper inside the trail in the forest area...
Finally..we had our group picture taken..with 2 horses at the back for good luck measure! 'nuff said.
For more pictures..check out the forum picture gallery..
It was a fun day all in all... Rdgs Arthur..(CY..yr nasi lemak was very good!Thks!)
haha yah it was VERY early for me but it was well worth it coz i got to touch a horse, breathed the fresh air of KL, ate CY's delicious nasi lemak (thanks CY!) and saw 2 other JRTs there as well!
So...when is our next walk? Are we going into the jungle this time?
Wei....Gina, wait for me....i wanna join, but not srue can walk all the way up or not leh.

Our next walk will come pretty soon and before we fix any date, please get Biscuit ready and make sure he is fit to lead the whole group through the jungle.
That's facinating! That's definately smashing or what?? A horse leading a bunch of cuties.... tht's really amazing, r the duo also the forum members here? i love horse too, they r just so handsome, pretty n symbolise energy!
Very nice pictures taken, cheers to the photographer (is it u arthur? )
Boon no problem sure can make it wan....if u hv hiked up Air Itam dam or even the first point of Pg Hill then this will not be a problem....much easier lar....so get your walking shoes and Tarzan suit ready for the next walk coz we're going into the jungle!!!
Aiyoh, Air Itam Dam and Penang Hill ah? Look at my size u know i never ever try that lah.....nvm, this coming sunday the penang rangs will try the morning walk to No.3 in youth Park. Hope i can get to feel the 'tire' and pain lol. Then i can imagine how enjoy you're.

The other JRT was very cute eh? The one with one eye patch of brown colour.. Looks like a little pirate!
As for the jungle trek..we will have to explore it first to see if the trail is suitable and safe for the furkids. You'll probably hv to forgo the shorts if the trail has leeches..Yikes!

Jason and I checked out the jungle trek and it looks real good....i shd think it's very safe for our furkids...the trail is like any other hiking trail in Pg that i've been to.....the path is big enough to walk on without having to brush against any bushes or leaves so it will be fine....and it's hot season now all the leeches are hibernating ....jungle trekking will be much nicer compared to walking on tar roads....it's not as monotonous and i'm sure our furkids will enjoy it more.....so how about it? Shd we set a date? Maybe a Saturday morning?
By the way, the jungle trek is not so taxing on the paws. The furkids would love it. My doggy kept wanting to explore further in. Lets make it the next Saturday?
