Jungle Trekking @ Tmn Pendidikan Bkt Gasing on November 13th, 2004 - ROUND 35 !!!	Can't Post

Date : November 13th, 2004

Meeting Venue : Taman Pendidikan Bukit Gasing

Time : 7.30 am

into the jungle by 7.45 AM pls note that we will not wait for anyone who is late....as we do not want to attract anymore unwanted attention from none dog lover. I hope you can understand .... so pls be punctual.

Join us in the list below :

Direction 1 :

From Padang Merbok’s roundabout use the way towards Telekom. After driving passed Telekom on your left you will see a row of shoplot and signboard of a restaurant called “Lotus”. Just before Lotus Restaurant, on your right, you will see a Chinese Temple and there is a junction. Turn right. After turning do go all the way straight for about 200 – 300 meter and there should be a playground of some sort and you can park your cars there. There should be a signboard that says : Tmn Pendidikan Bukit Gasing.

Direction 2 :

Beside the Lasalle School, there is the Raju Restaurant – go straight all the way up and you will reach a T junction. At the T junction do turn to your right and go all the way straight you should be able to see the playground.

Things to take note of :

1. Dogs have to be on leash/harness on all times.
2. Please pick up after our furkids poo.
3. Bring plastic bags
4. Bring water for human n for furkids
5. Wear stockings
6. Have a good pair of walking shoe or sneakers.
7. One dog per person is highly recommended as it’s a real jungle trail.
8. Bring your mobile just incase you need to call for rescue.
9. Don’t wear too short a shorts if you are afraid of being scratch by the bushes and donating blood to the mozzy ya ! ;

So far I couldn't find ticks on my dog after JT. just make sure ur doggie take a bath after JT.

And for information in Bukit Gasing the mosquitoes are more dangerous than ticks... heuheuhheu so be prepared.

I oso did not find any ticks/flea in my Taro's body..but his paws is alwyas swallen after the trek.. Frown

becoz' he used full strength to pull and lsots of pressure applied to his back paws,two weeks ago have found some problem on his back...biten by insect or something... Frown

luckily is recovering...

Hi! I'm bringing my little Sushi -d poodle. The other one Pipi [Miniature Pinscher ] he is too old for JT ,he is 13 years old now. By the way this is the first time I go for JT so I think is better I bring one first. After JT I think my White Sushi will turn into grey..hehehe. I hope I can really make it tomorrow coz I'm not so sure about the place. See you tomorrow!

hehehe..Sushi and I are so excited...she is a miniature poodle but her size is quite big [nearly 6kg] Tongue

By the way may I know how long does the trek takes? we need to bring food for our furkids? or just drinks. Well,, Sushi is a big eater , she gets hungry fast.

Wow.... its been sooooooo long since i've posted something here.. really really really buzy la..

yeah!!! we r going JT tomoro! Dino will b so happy. u know something guys, lat few days, dino brought his leash and harness into the room and gave to raymond. it is as if he wants to go JT! i felt so sad that time. heheheh... but i'll c u guys tomoro!!! yahooooo!!!!!! Smile

Jt is aorund 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Be prepared for a rough and wild type of real jungle. hehehe... my 1st time there,

i was shocked to be in a real jungle. i tot we r just gonna b on a jogging track or something.. hehe.. but it's really fun! good exercise too!

just bring water and some treats. should be enough... but beware! dun feed ur furkid in front of my Dino! he's so greedy, he'll start begging from u. heheheheh

sure tom is following me back~~ can accompany my grandma oso.. Frown

tom follows us back everytime! but ourside hav stray and tom always go out to the frontyard and bark at them... last 2 times came back full of ticks!! Frown

now he cant go out of the house or i'll carry him in the car if going out...

The sad thing is I have to work on every Saturday. This is the only Sat I'm free due to the Raya Holidays. Perhaps next time I can switch my off day with my assistant so I can take my Sushi for JT. Poor mummy have to work hard for my Sushi. Anyway I let her play in the baby pool this morning...she enjoyed very much and now she's sleeping by me side..hehehe...hope really can go for d poodles gathering wif u all.

Yo.. every 1,

Today JT was fun... although was abit tired (coz carrying DD & GG most of the time).. Frown

but overall their performance was acceptable lah (1st time mah)...

After bath, they slep all the way untill dinner time (3 of them lah..if u got what i mean.hehe).. after dinner they r back to normal.. jumping and runing arround... no cut not injuring found.. but found 1 tick on Gigi's neck... luckly got only 1.. checked 3 times just to ensure...

Anyway, hope can join again week after next... See ya...

*especially thank to those who waited for us.... Hope can catch up with u and chit more next time..

Oh yes..Sushi loves water very much, she even beg me to bath her everyday.

Unlike my Min Pin [PIPI]. PIPI hates water, each time I open the baby pool for Sushi, he will run as far as he can......Sushi is very naughty, she knows that PIPI hates water so she will get her whole body wet and chase after PIPI....guess what..I have a bigger playing pool and I some time will jump in and playing water with my Sushi...hahahahah..so much fun!

btw, where can I find the poodle thread u've mentioned? Thanks.

Hi all

I had a great and tiring time going for the jungle trek. Bailey had fun too despite her acting up. But I found five huge ticks on her after her after the jungle trek.. i mean really huge puffed up ticks. Did a thorough check on her twice just to be safe.

Since it's raining season,the ticks might came from some other dogs..those group not belongs to K9-Trekkers.

so better use ticks prevention shampoo after the trekking.

Thanks for keeping it Ivan. By the way my poodle's name is Sushi not Ruby, Ruby is my name and I don't wear colar...hehehehe....I will drop by 1 day to collect it. Just few days after grooming my Sushi went on heat for her first time and she is now a big girl liao...
